Villanovia is a conservative restoration of a historic Tuscan farmhouse, uniquely located on a hilltop inside a natural park. It offers a 360° view, 700sm of internal living, and 37 acres of private land. We sleep 25+ and each lodging has a private bath. The nearby historical cities, and the coast are a short-ride away. Amenities such as hot tub, pool, BBQ, table-tennis and table-football are available. Wi-Fi (150 Mb) is suitable for remote working.

Villanovia overlooks a hilltop of the natural park of Berignone, outside the village of Mazzolla, that a legend associate to an Etruscan settlement, called Mazzum, however the first historical document that attests the existence of Mazzolla dates from the year 1080 when the Bishop of Volterra was received there.
The view spans seamlessly across the Cecina valley, the cities of Volterra and Pomarance, the Metallic Hills and Larderello, with the visible geothermal steams. The natural reserve of Berignone is untouched and populated by a large variety of wild animals, some peculiar birds and night-birds as well as covered with a dense and typical mediterranean forest. There are numerous hiking and biking paths inside the park as well as historical discoveries, such as the ancient middle-age ruines of the Bishops' Castle, the Castle of Luppiano and the fortresses of Rocca Sillana. There are a few rivers that cross the natural park, all affluent of the main Cecina river that forms a large valley and dies into the see in the nearby Etruscan Coast.
