Casual and vibrant style with extensive library, highspeed internet, flatscreen internet-TV. Extra-extra high ceilings, lots of light through big windows on both sides. This is the entire floor of a brownstone! Spacious living room has an exposed brick wall and private back patio with a gas BBQ. The bedroom is of the same size as the huge living room, with a Queen-size bed. Fully-outfitted chef's kitchen has a real dishwasher. Full bathroom with lots of sunshine and seriously good water pressure. Our second bedroom is a child's bedroom with a twin bed.
In the historic Brooklyn Heights neighborhood, on the main shopping street, just steps from the Promenade with its views of Manhattan. It’s also known as “Little Manhattan” because of its proximity to downtown Manhattan, and the style of architecture. Much more conveniently situated than UWS or UES, and just plain cooler.
Close to A, C, F, R, 2, 3, 4, 5 lines, just one stop into Manhattan on all of those lines.
A quote from prior guests: “The apartment was perfect for a traveler. From the comfy bed to the wall of travel guides, atlases and fast internet access, and the detailed lists of which cafes had the best coffee and where to get this or that, all our touring needs were met.”
High-quality towels and linens; our tea & jam station; a variety of spices and pantry staples... not that you'll need to cook, with all the restaurants and delis in the neighborhood!
Our cleaning lady and cat sitter allow you to make yourself at home. It's not a grotty hotel; it's our home and since none of our out-of-town friends are using it, we're inviting you to stay in it while you visit. Since you're a responsible, reasonable person, we expect you'll leave our home as you would leave a friend's home.
Best suited to a couple, but the couch does fold out into a second Queen-size bed, so I would be willing to discuss more than two people staying for a modest increase. Discounts apply for extended stays, naturally!
We had a wonderful stay here. The apartment was perfect, clean and was in an ideal location. We felt like we were right in the heart of Brooklyn Heights.
Our host went above and beyond providing us good communication and lots of information/recommendations to make our stay really nice. I would highly recommend staying here.
Plenty of space in a superb location in a great neighborhood. Everything you might need is very close by. It was very easy to communicate with the hosts.
Christine's place is heavenly! Big, full of light, warm, it felt like home. The street is full of great restaurants, cafes and shops, walking distance from Brooklyn Bridge and a short subway ride from Manhattan. Christine did everything to make us feel comfortable and we really had a perfect time at her place. I would recommend her place to everyone!
Very sunny which was lovely. We were worried about street noise, but that certainly was not an issue. Lots of room so we weren't on top of each other. Very close to the subway and great food, as well as a grocery. Christine also provided food suggestions for eating out. The worst part was the stairs (2 flights) which at our age and with luggage was quite tiring, but very doable.
This place was amazing!!! But even better was the personal touch. Christine and her husband knew that Anthony and I were getting married in August and they left us a lovely bottle of champagne and a note on our arrival. We also enjoyed their friendly and self sufficient cat and the wonderful surrounding neighborhood.
We would give this place our highest recommendation and are so grateful for the hospitality that we received.
Very enjoyable stay at Christine's apartment.
Right on Montague, which means wonderful places for morning coffee, near subway, Promenade, shops.
Her husband Allen gave me the keys and showed me around, as they were leaving a few days before I my arrival date.
The apartment was very comfortable, and had air conditioners in both front and back rooms, I only used the one in the bedroom. it was a very hot week in August, and I was rarely there during the day.
The apartment is the home of people who live fully. Many books, evidence of adventures, learning, there is a child and a cat.
The bed was comfortable, and I did not hear the noise of Montague Street when the a/c was running.
There is even a tiny garden out the back window.
This is an ideal spot for families visiting New York City, an Christine is he ideal host! This was a last-minute weekend trip for us (two adults, three young kids) and Christine was incredibly flexible and accommodating. Brooklyn Heights is our go-to neighborhood when visiting NYC and this spot is right in the hub of the neighborhood. Christine's cats were totally independent (and cute!) and the apartment was literally spotless. The crib in the second bedroom saved us from bringing a portable crib -- a huge plus. We'll definitely be back on family trips to the big Apple!
This is a lovely apartment in a great neighborhood in Brooklyn Heights. Christine was great to deal with and provided some wonderful recommendations for things to do and places to eat. It's an easy walk to the subway station and you can be in Manhattan in +/-10 minutes. The apartment itself was clean and comfortable and provided everything we needed for our weeklong stay. I would recommend this to anyone who needs a place to stay whilst in NYC.
Christine is wonderful to deal with, and the apartment is great. We brought our daughter, and were able to use the crib and high chair, and (best of all) things were pretty toddler proof! The location is fabulous and the apartment is wonderfully clean. I highly recommend the apartment and Christine to anybody looking!
We absolutely adored Christine's place. There was more than enough room for the 4 of us who stayed in this oversized apartment that you wouldn't get in Manhattan and also at a great price.
Her home provides a big bedroom comfy queen sized bed, kitchen, living area and bathroom. It really felt like a place we called home for the duration of our stay.
Couldnt ask for a better location - located on a busy but not too loud street full of eateries and a supermarket and laundromat within 30 meters. Also 1 stop away from Manhattan, subway lines are abundant within a short walking distance. Her home is very secure and the suburb is filled with great locals.
Christine was very responsive to all enquiries from the very beginning. She will provide a very detailed information about her home prior to arrival and will also keep in touch during your stay to ensure everything is up to standard.
This was our first venture out to Brooklyn after visiting New York on several occasions and I'd definitely return back to Christine's home in an instant.
