  • Loved the house and the swing outside. Great location. I had a blast staying in Austin and walking around downtown. Jamie was so nice and easy to reach. I really appreciate the lock box option, came in handy. Would love to stay again. :-)

  • Excellent home. Those who are visiting Austin, it's in a great location to access the entirety of the music scene around town. LOVE the giant bathtub!

  • Great apartment, Jamie was extremely helpful!

    March 2014
  • This experience was truly wonderful. Jamie was extremely amiable. Great apartment with a super location in the heart of EastSide. Nevertheless, a quiet and safe location. The apartment was exactly as Jamie said it would be. Very cozy, tidy and clean. Everything you need is in place. I had a great time and would come back immediately!

    March 2014
  • Awesome stay in beautiful Austin - the place is neat and inviting and Jamie is a fantastic host. She really goes out of her way to make sure you are comfortable and have everything you need.

    February 2014
  • When we arrived we immediately liked the space and thought it was very nicely done and was very clean. However, because the house is on a main street we heard a lot of street noise and we had a tough time sleeping during our stay there. The hosts did provide earplugs, however we did not find out about them until the second night. I tend to be a light sleeper, my partner not, but we both had troubles sleeping here, even with the ear plugs in! In regards to the apartment, that really is the only complaint and unfortunately it would deter us from staying there again if we were back in Austin. The location is alright, we ended up getting a bus pass for 24 hours most days ($2US) as we could have walked but it is a good 20-25 minutes to get to downtown. After spending time in SoCo (South Congress) we felt it was more (email hidden)ly area for younger people and next time would opt to stay there. If you are staying in East Austin, make sure to visit Veracruz All Natural for breakfast tacos and watermelon agua fresca and J Mueller BBQ - both amazing foodie places!

All in all the trip was good, we had a great time eating and drinking our way through Austin but unfortunately the street noise at the house was slightly too much for us. Jamie was doing some renovations on the place the weekend we were there, including putting in new door frames to combat the noise, so perhaps with better insulation the noise will be significantly less. We only met Jamie on the last day but she was very helpful with anything we needed and always responded in a timely manner.

  • I really enjoyed staying at Jamie's place over the weekend. It was simply decorated and very cozy, not to mention a great location for everything I wanted to do. She was a fantastic host and wrote us a handwritten letter welcoming us to her home and a list of places and restaurants to go to. One place we did try and ended up being the best meal i've had in a while. i'd love to stay here again in future.

    Response from Jamie:

Which restaurant did you go to for this amazing meal? What was it? I love all the local restaurants in Austin...I can't seem to make it to all of them!

  • Jamie's place was great! Well located, well equipped, clean.....all the things you want in a rental. She also provided us with a list of things to check out in the city, which was really helpful.

    January 2014
  • Jamie's place is very spacious with a big kitchen and very nice remodeled bathroom. Jamie left clear notes about her studio, I appreciate the fact that she encourages her guests to recycle!
We were three people and used the sofa bed as well as the bed and spent six nights. A long stay! It is conveniently located with a parking area and it is easy access and close to downtown.

    December 2013
  • Jamie and Aja were great hosts. Prior to the trip, all communications were timely and informative. Jamie messaged me a few times to make sure my arrival was ok and to see if I had any questions. She also provided a ton of information on local attractions.

The apartment was clean and comfortable. In all honesty, it was almost too comfortable as I did not get out as much as I was hoping and spent time relaxing in the house. All necessary items were provided. The location was a big selling point, as many food/drink options were a short walk away, as well as a nice trail on Town Lake.

All in all, I had a memorable weekend and would stay here again, or at least highly recommend it to people I like.

    Thanks, Y'all!
