April sublet! 4/11-5/3. If you're interested, please send me a message with a few lines about yourself before booking. Looking for a longer-term subletter while I'm on business. *Please note decor has been updated since the verified-by-airbnb photos were taken. I haven't hosted in a few years.
This quiet, charming and sunny two bedroom/1 bath 1912 standalone house is a perfect place to land in LA. Comfy, mid-century inspired furnishings and plenty of outdoor hangout space await you.
One guest room with queen bed: memory foam top and high thread count sheets. Private attached entrance to the bathroom between the bedrooms. Decent-sized closet. Great outdoor area with veggie garden seasonally, sitting area and dining table/umbrella.
Bi-weekly housekeeping and gardener comes weekly to tidy outdoors.
Fully stocked kitchen appliances/pots/pans/utensils/basics (salt/pepper, etc etc). Free laundry on-site, wifi, super easy street parking.
PLEASE NOTE friendly **indoor-only cat lives here** (if that's a problem, this won't be a good fit for you but I can happily recommend some friends in the area!). There used to be multiple cats, but now it's just the quiet one. (He just needs 2 meals/day, his catbox is automated with the plumbing!).
You'll have your own cozy room with private bathroom entrance, and the whole house and garden to yourself with my low-maintenance kitty, who will need some food and love. My room will be empty, but not for guests' use.
Interaction with Guests
I'll be out of town, but someone will be available to help you.
Right at Sunset Junction in "arty"/"hip" Silverlake, walk to shops, restaurants, bars, farmers' market, 3 min drive to plenty more in Echo Park and Los Feliz (or pop over to Hollywood, Downtown, Little Tokyo or Chinatown in 5-10). Abundance of convenience and places to explore, but down a hill from Sunset Blvd, so remarkably also a quiet oasis.
Especially for the non-driver but great for anyone, not only can you easily walk...this place gets a better "walker's score" (91/100) than my convenient place off the L train in Williamsburg, Brooklyn! The house is also walking distance to many major express buses (as this is a hub spot).
Absolutely no smoking of any kind indoors. Indoor-only cat must stay inside (and NOT go out AT ALL). Removing shoes indoors kindly requested. No dogs, please.
