  • Bob & Yolanta are the perfect Airbnb hosts. Bob is excellent, he introduced us to wonderful eateries & bars which were just what we needed since this was our 1st trip to Alicante city - and what a lovely city it is.

  • Bob & Yolanta were very welcoming and they also provided us with alot of information as we arrived at the apartment, including a map over good bars/resturants in the area. They also supplied us with a route from the airport to the apartment which made finding it very easy.
The room is exactly as in the pictures and the location was perfect. Every thing you would ever need is in a walking distance. Due to it being in the city, it was a bit noisy at nights. Therefor I'm very glad I brought my earpluggs.

All in all, a very nice first impression of Airbnb and a great visit to Alicante!

  • Bob and Jolanta were lovely, very welcoming, and the room/flat was easy to find, very clean, exactly like the photo - and terrific value. I was glad I had my earplugs, tbh, as it was a little noisy - though with street cleaning machines and refuse collectors, rather than revellers - but, hey, you don't expect monk-like silence in a busy city... I'd certainly recommend them to others.

  • Bob and Jola were very kind and helpful. They allowed us to leave the (email hidden) for the whole day even though we have to leave the room at 11.00.
The room is big and comfortable but the best thing is the location. In a very cousy street at the heart of Alicante, the flat was located just 2 minutes walking to the port and 5 minutes to the beach, really close to the bus station as well. Just perfect combination price/quality.

  • We didn't meet Bob personally but me met Jola who takes care about the flat and she was very nice and helpful (she ordered us taxi to the airport. ..There was lack of night buses and taxi operator didn't know english language).
The flat is OK and comfortable. The room was a little loud because of road and there was scaffolding at the balcony from 9am there were workers (this is of course temporary but we find out about it two days before our arrival). The room is above the kebab so the place is ok for someone who want to smell smoked meat at night.
The location is great -close to the beach.

  • Bob (email hidden) and showed us excellent places to eat and things to do in Alicante! We really enjoyed the accommodation. It really is the perfect location- very close to everything, yet very peaceful (even despite a little construction on the apartment!)
    Thanks Bob!

  • Bob (email hidden) for our stay in Alicante. He accidentally double-booked our stay, but still put us up in a hotel, offered us some wine, and showed us around the town, including showing us the best tapas my friend and I had the entire time we were in Spain! The place also looked great when Bob invited us in. Definitely recommend.

I fell in 'love' with Alicante and last year decided to base myself here, it'(email hidden) in our EU. It's friendly people and the random acts of kindness I experienced whilst I tried to destroy their language is engaging. I like their simple foods, wines, it suited my palette........if you scratch my skin you will find a peasant underneath. The town is small, only 300,000 but is connected to Europe via a very busy Airport; The Railway Station has high speed trains to Madrid and beyond and there is also a light railway that links the many towns along the coast. It has a working harbour, a marina, a beach, a castle and nowhere is more than 10 minutes walking from anywhere else. The architecture is mixed and with the exception of 3 buildings it's all 'low rise' and therefore pleasing to the eye and has charm. There is a harmony here, where older and young mix until early in the morning partying, I like this, it's inclusive, a sense of community. The people can be a little loud and noisy at times being right in the centre but they are just enjoying themselves without any inappropriate behaviour, I have never seen any trouble here at all, never, it is a very safe place to be walking about late in the night or in early in the morning. The town is a tourist destination for Spanish people and they will not accept poor quality food wines or services so, it's a pleasure. Underneath all this, is Spain, they have only had democracy for 26 years and within that time they have had 2 coup d'état attempts which failed some 20 years ago. However, the legacy of Franco is found in most of it's institutions but it's 'work in progress' it will take 2 or 3 generation to work out the Franco mentality and the people to find their feet and realise that they can use democracy! People who come from the Northern European democracies are lucky we've had democracy for 100's of years – I thought Nicolas Sarkozy was a good French president but the people of France said, NO and he was gone, in a blink of an eye! Anyway, meanwhile back in Alicante, they have many and I mean many, festivals which are community based and mainly based around the Church but there are, truly a sight to behold – fantastic – and see! Explore, Experience, Enjoy. http://(email hidden)/culture-festivals.html
