The space
We're a *NEW* listing and have been enjoying summer time here ourselves (it's MAGIC) so Airbnb hasn't quite discovered us yet... which means you get to.
Fern Forest is one of those places we're almost reluctant to share because we love it so much. Sadly, we can't live here year-round, so instead we get to welcome guests to experience it.
I'm Gem, and I personally renovated every inch of Fern Forest Cabin. Every detail has been thoughtfully restored and carefully considered to create a beautiful second home / boutique hotel stay (dare I say, it's better than anywhere like Scribner's Lodge which is 920 dollars a night!) rather than just another Airbnb.

The Space
What makes Fern Forest truly special is the incredible natural light. Triangular windows on every side, combined with a striking picture window, create uninterrupted forest views and a seamless connection with nature throughout every season.
The sleeping spaces are peaceful and serene:
• Loft primary bedroom with vaulted ceilings and treetop views
• Ground-floor bedroom surrounded by windows and woodland light
Designed for year-round escapes, the cabin features full heating for snowy winter weekends, including heated bathroom floors, alongside powerful air conditioning for hot summer days - something surprisingly rare in the Catskills.
The open-plan living space flows directly onto a floating deck through large sliding glass doors, making it the perfect place for slow mornings with coffee, afternoons spent reading amongst the trees, or a glass of wine as the sun sets.
We intentionally kept the main living area TV-free to encourage guests to switch off, reconnect and enjoy the surroundings. For movie nights, there's a separate cosy snug with a large plush sofa and a 60-inch TV.
The Kitchen
The fully renovated kitchen includes:

• Carefully chosen finishes and textiles
• Everything you need to cook at home
The Bathroom
One of our favorite spaces in the cabin, the luxury bathroom features a deep soaking tub large enough for two, perfectly positioned beside the pines for peaceful evenings, along with a spacious walk-in shower finished with carefully sourced designer tiles.
Whether you're visiting for vibrant autumn colors, snowy winter escapes or long summer days, Fern Forest has been designed to feel like your own private retreat in the woods.

- During storms / severe winter conditions all guests MUST park on the main road to avoid getting stuck a the bottom of the drive as Catskill winters are no joke. We will advise.
- When the snow is deep and thick we advise that you engage common sense don’t attempt to go down the stairs to the forest. The forest area is mainly seasonal as we cannot clear snow throughout the night on the stairs / the entire woodland area.
