Interaction with Guests
As much as possible or invisible if you want. I will try to meet with arriving guests and show them the area. Whenever guests need information or recommendations, I am always available via messaging or phone.
The Sheung Wan MTR station is but 5 min walking distance away that takes you all over Hong Kong and Kowloon. There are also buses that run near the doorstep of the building on Hollywood Road.
Other Things to Note
Once you arrive in Hong Kong, everything is quite simple and all starts with a call from the FREE phones at the airport located in the hall immediately after you pass through baggage customs. There is also a Visitors Center there if you would like to pick up some maps, local travel guides, etc. to read on your way to the apartment. If you need a local SIM card, there is a 7-11 in the middle section of the main arrival hall where they see all types of SIM cards, I usually prefer the PCCW brand as it is the larges local operator.
This is a Strictly NON SMOKING Flat.
UPON ARRIVAL AT PROPERTY, ALL GUESTS MUST WAIT FOR ME AT THE FRONT GATE OUTSIDE OF THE BUILDING. BUILDING RESIDENTS WILL COMPLAIN TO PROPERTY MANAGEMENT IF THE LOBBY AREA INSIDE BUILDING IS BLOCKED. THANKS FOR YOUR KIND UNDERSTANDING FOR AN ENJOYABLE STAY.
Check in time is AFTER 12:30 pm. Make sure to contact us by phone at least 30 minutes prior to arrival such that we can meet you at the flat to hand you the keys and acquaint you to the surroundings. As this is a family business, please try your best to arrive at the apartment as early as possible. After 11:30pm as transport to the apartment is limited for us, we have to charge HKD150 to cover our taxi transport cost to and from the apartment. We are generally exhausted at the end of the day and we really would rather you arrive early and not have to charge this.
Guests must wait for us OUTSIDE the building upon arrival and not enter the building without us as this causes unnecessary misunderstandings with the property management and residents of the buildings.
Check out time is STRICT at 11:00 am. NO EXCEPTIONS or you will be charged for an extra full day. Our cleaning crew will arrive at 11:00 am to service the flat for the next guest, thanks for your cooperation.
Please help us save the environment by turning off electrical appliances when leaving the apartment or not using them.
Water heater needs to be turned off when not using. If it breaks due to prolonged time left on, you will not have any hot water for your stay and will be subject to expensive repair charges.
In the case that you have an evening departure flight:
Please note that you can check in your luggage at anytime during the same day as your flight at the Hong Kong Station Airport Express, which is only a 5 minute taxi or bus ride from the apartment. That way you would be free to explore the city on your last day, not having to worry about your luggage or rushing to the airport since you have already checked in, you will not have to be at the airport as early as everyone else.
All airlines flying from Hong Kong airport offer In Town check in, EXCEPT the following:
Jetstar Asia Airlines
The location of the apartment was good, and the inside was like what the pictures show, small but basically everything was kept clean. However the entrance of the building is rather dark at night, and walking up the stairs leading up to the apartment wasn't the best experience at all: on the 1st floor there were lots of abandoned Chinese home deco; and it seems dirty to us as once we spotted a cockroach on the stairs wall. Let's just say we won't come back to this place again.
Brend was very helpful, fast at replying to messages and easy to talk to.
The flat was as described. It was quite small but clean. When there was an issue with the plumbing after our 1st night Brend had a solution within 30 minutes of me messaging him. Would definitely recommend his apartments. Great location, charming street. Close to Sheung Wan MTR station. Easy to get a taxi from Hollywood rd.
Our stay was OK. A lot of great components but also some downsides. Though we were aware of the "late fee", we had a 4 hour flight delay, obviously 100% out of our control. Again, we were aware of the policy- just a bit annoying. Also, the listing says "cable TV" but there were only 4 channels! Not a big deal since we were barely in the apartment, but the listing is deceiving stating cable TV! Other than that- nice location and easy to get around and super clean!!
Had a great time during my short stay. The apartment is small but cozy, clean and alot of natural sunlight! Conveniently hidden away near small shops and quiet at night so had no problems sleeping. Would come again for sure :)
It was great having Simon stay with us in Hong Kong. So happy that you enjoyed the flat and your stay. It's a great location and easy to get around for sure. Sorry about the pillow; I'll get it out of there today. It's suppose to be only for decoration as we already have so many pillows in the flat.
The best thing about this apartment is the location. Very short walk to Sheung Wan station and walkable to Central. Convenient to lots of bars and restaurants. The apartment is clean and on the fourth floor of a walkup. It's very cozy and good for two people. Three would be a little tight, but doable. Bathroom/shower is very tight so a little inconvenient if you're larger in size.
Brend was a great host. Even though we arrived quite late he met up with us close to midnight.
Location was great, close to some great restaurants and public transit (both MTR & Tram).
Would be happy to stay again.
Didn't get to meet Brend directly but someone was sent promptly after our arrival to hand the keys over. The apartment is exactly as photographed. The pullout bed made it comfortable for two people to stay in different beds. The neighborhood was very pleasant, and central. We also really enjoyed having access to a roof terrace.
