About this listing
A bargain for a single traveller. Cosy small single room. Great Wifi. Use of sitting room/kitchen etc.
Local home owner with lots of advice on what to see and do. Easy 10 minute walk to town or National Park.
Minimum stay 2 nights. Thank you
It's a lovely, clean, cosy home. I have just been away travelling for 3 months so I am tuned in to the needs of travellers. The wifi is excellent. I can help you with any local bookings of bus tours etc. Killarney is just a beautiful place to visit and explore. You could spend months enjoying the walks, drives, views, swims, jaunting car rides, visits to castles, abbeys, ruins galore :)
I am very flexible. If you are doing the Killarney adventure Race and you want to cook up your pasta at 6am that's fine :). I find that people are usually busy exploring outdoors and don't spend much time in the house. But you are free to watch tv in the sitting etc, put on a wash if you need to, etc. Just ask really and we can facilitate eachother.
Interaction with Guests
As much as you like basically. I'm around for info and help if needed. If you are happy in your own space I will respect that. I am out and about a lot myself. If it's a fine day I'll be off to the lake or the sea or the National Park.
I love Muckross Rd. Its the best location in Killarney. You can stroll to town or walk in the National Park.
Breeda is a great host, easy going, friendly and made me feel at home. Comfortable room, great bed and a good location for exploring Killarney and the surrounding area.
Very basic, clean and budget price compact accommodation only 10 minute walk to the town centre. The house and the single bedroom were quite small which turned out to be okay as I was out all day anyway, but with hindsight, I would not have booked for three nights as I would have preferred a more spacious and relaxing environment.
Breeda's home is just lovely! The room is great for one person, and very comfortable and clean. The location is perfect, walking distance to the town and to the national park. Breeda was very nice, and sat down with me on my first night to work out some plans. Despite a few mix-ups on my part she was a completely gracious host!
Breeda est top, elle est authentique et ne se prend pas la tête. Elle est là si besoin et donne des conseils. Sa maison est toute mignonne, on s'y sent comme chez soi. Le quartier est calme et à un quart d'heure de marche du centre.
I stayed in Breeda's house for two nights. Everything was as expected and Breeda was a really great host - always contactable and very informative of things to do in the area. The house itself is very clean and tidy and within walking distance of the town centre so would definitely recommend if staying in Killarney.
Brenda's place is located in a great location.. You're able to get to town easily, and get to the National Park. She was also very helpful with giving me tips, and there was a yummy breakfast each morning. The room was basic but clean. It did the job :-)

About the Host, Breeda
I am a local Killarney woman but I have lived in different parts of Ireland and the world during my teaching career. I love the National Park and all the fabulous walks here. The town has everything you could possibly need and there is simply nowhere more beautiful to live. You can stroll to town to dine out or shop around or relax and browse the internet after a day out and about. If the weather is right the best thing to do is to get out in the boat on the lake to explore hidden Killarney. You will be most welcome here. Make yourself at home for your stay. I like to make the most of life's opportunities.
