Located steps from Hollywood road, with new eateries, art galleries and trendy bars rejuvenating this traditional neighborhood in the heart of the city. The studio and private rooftop garden is guaranteed to add that extra memory to your stay in HK.

Next to the Sheung Wan MTR Subway station, 7 Eleven, Bank of China, HSBC, Supermarkets, computer center, Sheung Wan produce market, bars, coffee shops, night clubs, main tram station, bus stations (over 30 different bus routes that stop here). Crossing street is Hollywood Road, the foreign friendly district located in Soho, walking distance to the big and beautiful Hollywood Park with fish ponds and beautiful plants and trees. There is a brand new air conditioner in this studio apartment, as well as a ceiling fan. The apartment building as well as the neighborhood is very quiet and peaceful. One of the safest places in the world! The only drawback is that it is on the 4th floor and there is no elevator in the building, but it is really not a bad climb up the stairs at all and is quite good exercise after a long day of too much good food! Plus you have access to the private rooftop balcony where you can relax and read of have a small gathering of friends spend time in this beautiful neighborhood. it is the perfect apartment for couples or a small group of friends or co-workers.

Interaction with Guests
As much as possible or invisible if you want. I will try to meet with arriving guests and show them the area. Whenever guests need information or recommendations, I am always available via messaging or phone.
The Sheung Wan MTR station is but 5 min walking distance away that takes you all over Hong Kong and Kowloon. There are also buses that run near the doorstep of the building on Hollywood Road.
Other Things to Note
Once you arrive in Hong Kong, everything is quite simple and all starts with a call from the FREE phones at the airport located in the hall immediately after you pass through baggage customs. There is also a Visitors Center there if you would like to pick up some maps, local travel guides, etc. to read on your way to the apartment. If you need a local SIM card, there is a 7-11 in the middle section of the main arrival hall where they see all types of SIM cards, I usually prefer the PCCW brand as it is the larges local operator.
This is a Strictly NON SMOKING Flat.
UPON ARRIVAL AT PROPERTY, ALL GUESTS MUST WAIT FOR ME AT THE FRONT GATE OUTSIDE OF THE BUILDING. BUILDING RESIDENTS WILL COMPLAIN TO PROPERTY MANAGEMENT IF THE LOBBY AREA INSIDE BUILDING IS BLOCKED. THANKS FOR YOUR KIND UNDERSTANDING FOR AN ENJOYABLE STAY.
Check in time is AFTER 12:30 pm. Make sure to contact us by phone at least 30 minutes prior to arrival such that we can meet you at the flat to hand you the keys and acquaint you to the surroundings. As this is a family business, please try your best to arrive at the apartment as early as possible. After 11:30pm as transport to the apartment is limited for us, we have to charge HKD150 to cover our taxi transport cost to and from the apartment. We are generally exhausted at the end of the day and we really would rather you arrive early and not have to charge this.
Guests must wait for us OUTSIDE the building upon arrival and not enter the building without us as this causes unnecessary misunderstandings with the property management and residents of the buildings.
Check out time is STRICT at 11:00 am. NO EXCEPTIONS or you will be charged for an extra full day. Our cleaning crew will arrive at 11:00 am to service the flat for the next guest, thanks for your cooperation.
Please help us save the environment by turning off electrical appliances when leaving the apartment or not using them.
Water heater needs to be turned off when not using. If it breaks due to prolonged time left on, you will not have any hot water for your stay and will be subject to expensive repair charges.
In the case that you have an evening departure flight:
Please note that you can check in your luggage at anytime during the same day as your flight at the Hong Kong Station Airport Express, which is only a 5 minute taxi or bus ride from the apartment. That way you would be free to explore the city on your last day, not having to worry about your luggage or rushing to the airport since you have already checked in, you will not have to be at the airport as early as everyone else.
All airlines flying from Hong Kong airport offer In Town check in, EXCEPT the following:
Jetstar Asia Airlines
Simple and straightforward- this apartment is in a great location and a very good value. Everything was communicated clearly and I was very happy overall.
Brend's apartment is a great place to stay in Hong Kong, the location is perfect for restaurants, sightseeing, and shopping, and the apartment is modern and clean. Would definitely recommend to anyone! Thank you Brend for hosting us.
Trip background: Grown up in HK and the trip is for an urgent family visit, so all those tourist attractions around is not my focus. Also being declined for some other options, rushing to get a place to stay is important for me.
Fast response: The host response is swift and the check-in procedures is fine.
Location: 15 mins walk to MTR, not consider convenient in HK standard. There are slopes and stairs to climb in order to access the building main gate from MTR or main road (Queen’s Road) which is not a pleasant walk with large luggage. Foreigner may found the district interesting with lots of antique stores around. Unfortunately, it was the raining season (Jun-Sep usually in HK) during my visit, the location give us extra difficulties to access with our luggage. The building Is not accessed by car/taxi directly, only by foot.
Room: Though knew that there only stairs inside the building to access to the room, the narrow stairway create extra difficulties for us, especially my wife, though the helper was kind enough to help with her luggage at check-In. My wife doesn't feel safe given the dark and narrow stairs, the place is not recommended to single female traveler, backpack is advised. Room size is similar to some small hotels in Hong Kong. No sofa (probably the bed itself is a sofa bed) nor table but a small chair which is too small for a grown up male. The bed may be a bit small for 2 people, especially for taller one. Bathroom is small, especially the shower tub. I found myself easily hit against the faucet when turn around. Also, I suggest installing a shower curtain to avoid water splashing out to the bathroom floor. Unfortunately, there was a renovation work 2 floors below carrying out during our stay. It brought noise (starting around 8-9am in the morning) and dusty floor to the room which is pretty unpleasant.
Price: Can have better choice and that amount can get a hotel room further west in HK for a longer stay
I stayed for three nights here with a friend. The rooftop was an amazing respite from the crowd. We were up here every evening to have a drink and relax. The umbrella in the picture is broken so it was too hot to do so in the day though. Room was small but clean and sufficient. Location was perfect. One of the units was undergoing renovations so that woke us up in the morning. The corridor/stairwell was also very dusty and crawling with roaches, probably because of the renovations. None in the room though. I would happily stay here again if the renovations were over - just wish Brend might have mentioned it before we booked.
The apartment is as advertised and in a very convenient location right off Hollywood Road. The owner was helpful and accessible and was gracious when dealing with a reservation revision issue.
The place was in a great location with lots of bars, restaurants, 7/11s & supermarkets nearby. It's also great for walking to Central.
The room was fine, about the same size as a small HK hotel room. It may feel cramped if you're not used to HK.
The real selling point was the rooftop, and we finished every evening with a drink on the roof.
We did have the impression it was a private rooftop just for us, whereas it's used by the entire building- that could be down to us not reading the description properly. In the end though we only saw one other person up there the whole week.
Our biggest issue was that there was only one set of keys which caused us a huge issue on our first evening when combined with the internet going down and the absence of a doorbell for the building.
Ultimately we worked out a system for letting me in after work, but there really should be a second set of keys.
I would recommend this place to others.
