A private room in our rustic 18th Century Farmhouse is on beautiful Black Creek, just steps from the Niagara River. Come relax on our charming porch or on our dock/deck overlooking Black Creek. A canoe & bicycles are here to borrow to explore the creek & the Niagara River Parkway Bikepath.
Our private room has a separate entrance with a queen bed & separate kitchen. You may put your food in the fridge, make yourself tea/coffee. I love to bake so there will always be something home baked as part of a continental breakfast. The bathroom for your use is just off the private room and has a claw-foot tub & shower.
There is a tv in the room that can be used to watch a small selection of DVD's (it doesn't get channels).
We have one kitty, Puss, & a very friendly large dog Nick.
Free Wi-Fi. Free parking.
We have bikes (not perfect or professional) but you are welcome to borrow them - the Niagara River Recreation Trail is some 58 km that runs from Niagara on the Lake to Ft Erie & is home to over 100 plaques and monuments. It is gorgeous! You are also welcome to borrow our canoe (also not perfect but it works) and paddle up beautiful Black Creek. Winter weather permitting we have two pairs of cross country skiis & boots you may borrow to ski just out the door & up the Niagara River Parkway. It's absolutely beautiful in the winter!
No need to pack wine glasses or an opener. We have lots. Towels, sheets, pillows & blankets are also provided.
There is a boat launch just around the corner on the Niagara River.
We are within a 1/2 hr drive to over 70 wineries in Niagara (Both in Niagara-on-the-Lake & the Beamsville Bench).
15 minutes to the famous & amazing Niagara Falls where there is lots to do (Maid of the Mist is my favorite).
1/2 hour drive to the Galleria Mall just over the border (don't forget your passport!)
1/2 hour drive to the Niagara Falls USA Outlet Mall.
Such a wonderful experience! Kelly and Mark are perfect hosts: friendly, full of smiles and lovely conversation - not to mention winery tips! Their home is warm and sweet, located just as they indicate, close to the US border and right on Black Creek, with a great little dock. We were welcomed with a delicious cheese platter and a glass of wine! Breakfast was an array of scrumptious homemade treats. Kelly and Mark were even so kind as to give us a wee boat tour before our departure. We highly recommend booking with them!
