A private room in our rustic 18th Century Farmhouse is across the road from beautiful Black Creek, steps from the Niagara River. Come relax on our charming porch or on our dock/deck overlooking Black Creek.

The space

Our private room has a separate entrance with a queen bed & separate kitchen. You may put your food in the fridge, make yourself tea/coffee. I love to bake so there will always be something home baked as part of a continental breakfast. The bathroom for your use is just off the private room and has a claw-foot tub & shower.
There is a tv in the room that can be used to watch a small selection of DVD's (it doesn't get channels).
We have one kitty, Puss, & a new puppy Airdrie.

Guest access

Free Wi-Fi. Free parking.

We have bikes (not perfect or professional) but you are welcome to borrow them - the Niagara River Recreation Trail is some 58 km that runs from Niagara on the Lake to Ft Erie & is home to over 100 plaques and monuments. It is gorgeous! You are also welcome to borrow our canoe (also not perfect but it works) and paddle up beautiful Black Creek. Winter weather permitting we have two pairs of cross country skiis & boots you may borrow to ski just out the door & up the Niagara River Parkway. It's absolutely beautiful in the winter!

No need to pack wine glasses or an opener. We have lots. Towels, sheets, pillows & blankets are also provided.

There is a boat launch just around the corner on the Niagara River.

We are within a 1/2 hr drive to over 70 wineries in Niagara (Both in Niagara-on-the-Lake & the Beamsville Bench).
15 minutes to the famous & amazing Niagara Falls where there is lots to do (Maid of the Mist is my favorite).
1/2 hour drive to the Galleria Mall just over the border (don't forget your passport!)
1/2 hour drive to the Niagara Falls USA Outlet Mall.

This was our second visit. Mark and Kelly are wonderful hosts. Their home is fun and quirky and comfortable and creative. It is a joy staying with these two lovely people. When a chef makes your breakfast you know it is not just tasty but fun too. We will absolutely return.

Kelly and Mark are terrific hosts and their home on the river is magical. We had a great time there and it is an easy and fun bike ride to Niagara Falls. I recommend a visit there!

We had a lovely weekend and enjoyed the great hospitality of Kelly & Mark. The house is at a great location for a getaway from Toronto. We made use of the bikes and explored the riverside. We appreciated the welcome amenity and the great continental breakfast on the dock in the morning. Will hopefully be back next summer.

Kelly and Mark were amazing hosts, our stay was just perfect! They are such friendly people and it was really nice to chat with them. We had nice trips with their bikes and kayaks which we used to discover the Niagara River and the creek. When we were staying at their place we also visited the Niagara Falls that are only 10 minutes away from their home! Mark gave us nice tips to make the best of our trip. Breakfast was super gorgeous. Kelly her baking skills are s(PHONE NUMBER HIDDEN) good! This place and their hosts are just wonderful and we hope we can ever go back there...

This funky boathouse apartment is located in an older home very near Black Creek, quiet and pretty but convenient to QEW and other highways. The air-conditioning was welcome after a long, hot day driving and the bed was very comfortable. A great Continental breakfast with homemade banana bread, fruit and yogurt was included.

We had a delightful stay. Kelly and Mark have a lovely home that is nestled in a beautiful, quiet neighborhood. They truly go above and beyond to make guests feel welcome. Prior to arriving, we had shared that we were visiting the area to attend a Rolling Stones concert. We arrived in the afternoon to find Rolling Stones patches, pins, and magnets on our bed. So thoughtful! We were also assured that returning to their guest room late after the show would be no problem. Nice to know when you're staying in someone's home. Kelly and Mark were very generous in providing recommendations about local food and attractions. Their pets are friendly, and breakfast was delicious! It was a wonderful getaway for our anniversary.

Mark is a Chef. I work with kids, love to bake.
5 things we can't live without: Our kids! WINE! Our home & the creek. Great simple food. Friends & family. Music. Oops...I think that's more than 5.
We look forward to sharing our beautiful property & the Black Creek/Niagara River Area & getting to know/meet new people!
