Charming old refurbished Greyhound bus - recycled wooden ceilings, mock-terazzo floors, running water & solar electricity. The space is also a sewing studio, but you'll have it to yourself for your stay. Located in the woods, but close to the road; town is 15 minutes away. Delightfully different.

Self-catering breakfast items are provided -- fresh eggs and bread, coffee and tea with fixings. PLEASE read the full listing, including info about "The Space" and "Guest Access" BEFORE reserving.

The space
Charming old greyhound refurbished with recycled wooden ceilings, solar electricity*, running water and wood stove. One double bed and wifi. Hot outdoor shower & outhouse -- a unique, upscale camping experience! Wood stove in cold weather; we provide the wood and will have it nice and cozy for you upon arrival. Campfire space available, too. 15 minutes to Pittsboro or Siler City, 30 minutes to Chapel Hill, 60 minutes to Raleigh or Greensboro. Shakori Hills GrassRoots Festival around the corner in May and October.

*Please note there is no air condition as we are off-grid. Fan available during sunnny daylight hours. During the winter, I will have the bus warm and ready upon your arrival, but you will be responsible for tending the wood stove. The wood stove is the only heat source! Wood and all necessary materials are provided.

We have chickens on the property, and the rooster crows early in the morning!

Guest access
Hot and cold running water & solar electricity in the bus. One burner butane stove for cooking with dishes and minimal cooking utensils. Outdoor shower & outhouse -- upscale camping! Wood stove for cold weather. Campfire space available, too.

Other things to note
If you plan to bring children, they must be acclimated to a camping situation or too young to care. Please do not use our space as a way of testing the waters with them. It is important to us that every guest, even the young ones, have a good experience here.

Animals are welcome, but you must make a reservation for them. This site does not have an option for extra fee for animals, strangely enough, but dogs are an additional $5 per night per dog. Your dog must also get along well with chickens! We will make special arrangements on the pricing when you request a reservation. PLEASE do not just show up with your pets, unannounced.

Into sustainable living. The bus (and house I Live in beside it) are off the grid and use wood heat. Maker of hats and festival organizer.
During your stay
We live in a house on the same lot as bus (see picture), and often are not at home. Happy to converse and help guests when needed, though!
