Kim's space is BEAUTIFUL and peaceful. It was the perfect getaway. Kim was very welcoming and accommodating. The bedroom was cozy and the bed super comfy. I would definitely come back to stay here again. Kim's home is filled with great art and the property is a little paradise.
We stayed at Kim's home for two nights, and we can certainly say that this was the best stay we have ever experienced. Kim is an exceptional host, who knows exactly what the guests need and is willing to go an extra mile to accommodate them. She is open-minded, and has a lot to offer, help, and share based on her vast travel experience and pursuits in arts. She not only made us feel at home, but also adjusted her routine to fit our needs -- be it in helping with barbeque at night or serving breakfast at our convenient time. The breakfast was delicious and included fresh eggs and organic vegetables from her farm. She has got a charming house, decorated with unique and contemporary artifacts collected from all over the world. Our room was spacious with a very comfortable bed and fine linens. The room also had a well-decorated private bathroom and a beautiful patio. We also explored her art-studio, where she has showcased her exquisitely designed jewellery items. All in all, we can say that Kim and her home indeed made home in our hearts.
This was everything that was promised, and more. The setting is California funky, in the best possible way. Everything was clean, and absolutely filled with decorative treasures. Fine Asian art and furniture, mixed with ceramics and crystals throughout the house and the yard.
Easy comfort, Kim's breakfasts were fresh with eggs from the chickens and cilantro from the garden. She was entirely comfortable to be with and converse, or to leave us on our own.
We would definitely stay here again!
Kim made us feel very welcome from the beginning. This is a very unique property! We loved the serene atmosphere and the art! The yard and the deck right off the master is awesome.
Kim made our whole family a wonderful breakfast with coffee, fresh eggs and potatoes. We would love to return!
When Dan and I arrived at Kim's farm in Penngrove we were pleasantly surprised to meet not only the perfect host (gentle, warm knowledgeable and spiritual) but a great jewelry designer. Her house is amazing, decorated with items she collected in her extensive trips to Asia (Indonesia and Thailand in particular, but she lived in India for many years as a textile designer). If you ask she will share stories of her many travels. There is so much to look at, all around the house, you will be happy to just hang out there or in the garden. If you are itching to go somewhere you can check out the winery just up the road.
She has chickens (far away enough, you will not hear them at all), which means fresh eggs in the morning for breakfast!
Staying there was a treat and we hope to be back again!
Kim is an amazing host! She has a beautiful house, across from a vineyard, and away from city noise. Her house is located in proximity to many wineries, which made it very convenient for us to take wine tours in the area.
She made us a delicious breakfast from fresh farm eggs, and the tomatoes that she grows in her yard. We had a very cozy, private and romantic guest house, with access to her kitchen and yard. Our room was clean, quiet, and very well furnished. We also recommend visiting her little art studio. Overall an A+ experience.
Kim was a fabulous host. Made us feel right at home, even with our little baby. What a beautiful sanctuary she has created. Beautiful home and gardens - very peaceful setting - we loved walking around the garden being with the wild life and diversity of plants. Most comfy bed ever. The house is decorated - out of this world. The only thing I didn't like about the stay is not being able to stay longer.
