The Space

There is a big dvd collection which can you watch on a 49" HD screen in the living room. Cable Television with more than 100 stations including SPORT 1 HD live.

In the private room there is also 42 inch HD screen with more than 100 stations including SPORT 1 HD live.

For the guest there are bicycles free to use, so you can explore and enjoy the city like a local;-)

Amsterdam has different areas , and every area has their own centrum with nightlife, restaurants and local live:

A-Jordaan
B- Oud-West
C-Pijp
D-Oost
E-Rivierenbuurt
F- Baarsjes
G- West
H- Centrum (Central Station/Dam Squire/Rembrandsquire/ leidsesquire/Red-light district)
I- Noord

The areas are too big to walk, that’s way the local bicycle in Amsterdam. With a Bicycle every area is easy to reach from my apartment. And you can always go back to the apartment after nightlife.

The beach is also very easy to reach with the train from Amsterdam. Every weekend there are party’s and festivals at the beach.

  • JD's apartment was clean, quiet, and in a great location. JD met us upon our arrival, and was very kind and welcoming! We'd stay here again.

  • We didn't meet JD. His cleaners showed the apartment and gave the keys. We were a group of 6 and it was comfortable. Brilliant were the free bikes to discover Amsterdam by bike. (aprox. 10 min to city)
All in all it was a very nice stay in the apartment. Would recommend it!!

  • JD was out of town but sent his friend Ollie to meet us who was punctual and very kind to offer his help the apartment was a short walk from the meeting place, in a lovely, quiet neighborhood. The apartment was comfortable, well priced and close enough to the center for convenience. Would recommend and would stay again. There are shops close by, a couple of bars and trams that go to Central Station and the center Dam sq. Free bikes also available to use.
There is only one toilet and one shower (separate rooms) but not a problem for us.
Up two flights of stairs that are quite steep (typical Amsterdam steep).
    Wonderful thanks JD!

JD's home is the perfect place to stay for a trip to Amsterdam. Great location, nice feel and has a great range of amenities, including bikes which are ideal for getting around Amsterdam on. Other reviews have mentioned the place is small, while I agree it's cosy we slept 6 comfortably and we really didn't feel we needed anything else!

To top it off JD is a fantastic host - welcoming, friendly, responsive and helpful
