Jordan and Jeremy are great. Communication was easy which made the whole experience a breeze. I arrived to find a basket of juices, waters, and snacks as well as menus and info about the neighborhood. The loft is better than pictured: super clean, beautifully decorated, filled with all the amenities one could possibly need. The parking spot made renting a car very convenient. The neighborhood is lively which I consider an exciting part of city living. There are great restaurants and bars that are within a short walk. Great boutiques line the street and are fun to shop. I really enjoyed my stay and hope to visit this loft again. Thank you, J & J!
J & J checked in every few days to make sure I was doing ok. They provided small amounts of food and refreshments to help get me started on my weeks stay. All linens and toiletry were supplied. My stay was simple and easy. The location is great. It is right downtown close Forest Park close to shopping and resuraunts, but this means a bit of night life so they provide a sound machine to help you sleep. I bring ear plugs. I find that helps.
The loft was gorgeous and very clean. Jeremy met with me and showed me everything that I needed to know for a successful visit. He was welcoming and very warm. In the loft, there was information about the local L trains, restaurants and local shopping, including grocery stores. The loft exceeded my expectations. I rented a car but did not need it due to access to the L train. I went into Chicago by L train, which took about 35 minutes, and saved parking money.
The pictures show exactly what to expect. The loft is beautifully decorated and has every amenity. The towels were plush. The sheets, pillows, and comforter were 5 star hotel worthy. In the fridge, my hosts provided juices, water, and snacks. I felt like a favored friend.
The loft is in a eclectic neighborhood with every type of high end store but with mom & pop diners/shops interspersed. Plus, the loft is in close proximity to Frank Lloyd Wright's home and studio. In fact, the Oak Brook neighborhood has a several of the architect's designed homes. By car, the loft is about 20 minutes from Chicago's Midway airport. So, I was able to quickly get to the airport for my flight out.
I cannot say enough wonderful things about the loft and the homeowners. I had a great time and highly recommend the loft for travellers to the Chicago area.
My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at the loft on Madison! It was a perfect location for us while we visited family. The loft is spacious and comfortable, and we felt very much at home. It is beautifully decorated and appointed, has lots of light and a nice little balcony.
The location is also fantastic with many shops and restaurants right along Madison. We enjoyed MP Kitchen for breakfast, which is just a couple doors down the street. There is a bar next store, so you may hear some occasional noise, but no loud music and nothing that kept us up at night.
Jeremy and Jordan provided great instructions and information, and answered my questions before we arrived. They messaged me to make sure we had checked in and if we needed anything. They are very gracious hosts!
Bottled water, juice and breakfast bars were provided, as well as some Keurig coffee pods (there is also a drip coffee maker). You'll also probably find some other snacks left behind by previous guests. If you want to do some of your own cooking, the kitchen has everything you'll need and you'll also probably find many spices, condiments, etc.
Overall, a great experience and we would stay there again!
We were in awe when we entered the loft, this place is absolutely perfect in every way. Jeremy and Jordan filled up the fridge, left us information sheet for every aspect of our stay, fresh linens... We haven't missed a single thing (apart from more time!). Chicago is a wonderful city, but at some point we thought: let us spend the day in this love nest. Thank you for everything, you made our stay memorable.
My friends and I stayed at the loft for 4 nights and absolutely loved it! We used both the CTA and Uber services. We ate at two of the local restaurants Scratch and Gaetanos. Both were excellent.
The loft is amazing with a modern rustic feel and his beautifully decorated.
Jordan and Jeremy were always responded to my emails quickly. I thought the personal note with my name on it upon our arrival was a wonderful gesture.
I would return without hesitation.
Hi all, this was a very nice loft, the pictures represent it well. Clean, tastefully appointed, my daughter fell in love with it immediately. It's located on Madison Avenue which is a cute, kitschy area of Forest Park (maybe 6 miles west of all the Chicago touristy stuff). There are plenty of local restaurants, bars, and eateries. Safe neighborhood! The loft is right next to the bus line and the L is about a 10 minute walk, not far at all. Jeremy and Jordan (J&J) knew we were vacationing and in town (in part) for a convention so they provided directions how to get to the convention center which was very thoughtful. They left coffee, snack bars, and drinks (water, oj, a few brewskis) in the fridge which was likewise thoughtful (after paying all the IL tolls, I needed a beer). We didn't meet our esteemed hosts in person but they checked in from time to time to see how we were doing or if we needed anything. J&J left their contact information so they were easily accessible if we had to converse more fluently. They also left a lot of brochures (maps, tourist info, etc.) which was great because it had been a few years since I visited Chicago and my first time in Forest Park. Like I said, there are plenty of eateries to choose from so the neighborhood can become a bit lively on the weekend but still safe, nothing crazy and I never had a problem falling asleep. All in all, it's a great loft with all the creature comforts. 5 out of 5 stars. J&J were fantastic, thanks for the hospitality!
About the Host, Jeremy And Jordan
My husband and I bought the condo in November of 2011, and ever since we turned the key it has been a labor of love. Self described property and construction enthusiasts, we remodeled everything ourselves except for a few key pieces which warranted a strict learning curve. We hope to remodel more properties in the near future before the baby train ensues! :)
