Interaction with Guests
Our only house rules are that we ask you treat the loft and our building with respect. For a number of people in the building, this is their primary residence so we ask you be cognizant of this.
Jeremy and Jordan's loft on Madison was truly a haven. Everything from the packet and information before we left to lighting, perfectly balanced masculine/feminine interior and all the laminated maps of places near by—we felt taken care of and well prepared for Chicago.
We took our friends who have never experienced an AirBnB, and because of this Loft they were extremely hooked. We all couldn't get over the overwhelming feeling of being at "home" rather than a cold hotel room.
Jeremy & Jordan made our stay such a great experience. They provided us information, everything from transportation to restaurant's and places to visit. The place is neat and clean and have everything as if it was your home. We will definitely come back.
Jeremy and Jordan were obviously seasoned veterans at being amazing hosts. Everything we could have needed was anticipated and available to us. From laminated directions to nearby restaurants (and free drink tickets!)and attractions to umbrellas for when it started raining on our last day. All of the amenities of a hotel AND all of the comforts of a home. Would recommend to anyone.
Our first airbnb stay exceeded our expectations! This loft had literally everything we needed. It was our home away from home! We were welcomed with fresh flowers, light breakfast foods in the fridge and a sweet card from the hosts. Jeremy and Jordan's communication is excellent; any questions we had before and during our stay were answered promptly. We especially loved the loft's unique decor, comfy bed, sitting on the balcony, and exploring the neighborhood's local businesses and delicious restaurants. We will definitely be back in the future!
This place was awesome! My friend and I stayed here for 4 nights on our first trip to the area. We loved staying outside the city but being just a short walk to the train station. We were able to enjoy the hustle & bustle of Chicago city life and then relax in the peace & quiet of Forest Park. It's an adorable town-Scratch Kitchen is basically right next door and has amazing food (get the mac-n-cheese!) and fun nightly activities like trivia and bingo. We went twice, which says a lot for just being in town 4 days. We also went antique shopping for treasures & there is a shop right next door that has fun home decor and great little souvenirs.
The loft itself was incredibly designed and decorated. It felt like home and was so cozy. As a designer myself, I loved just walking around looking at all the little details and browsing through the many design books left around the loft each morning while my friend slept in. Domino is my favorite magazine, so I was pretty excited to find that one in the nightstand bookshelf!
Jeremy & Jordan are the best-they were SUPER hospitable and let us check in early after coming in on a red eye and let us check out late as well. That made our whole trip! We were so exhausted after our flight in-and being able to go straight to the loft at 6am and get some sleep saved us. Plus I had a few questions prior to flying in and they got back to me almost immediately each time. I was sad I didn't get to meet them & thank them in person. THANKS GUYS!
There was water, juice, wine, and snacks in the fridge for us and a Keurig coffee maker with a fully stocked selection of K-cups. They left out local menus and brochures for attractions, etc.
All in all, I can't say enough nice things about this listing. It was far better than overpaying for some hotel and being crammed in one room. Instead, for a very reasonable price, you can enjoy a beautifully designed, spacious loft in a fun town just a 20 minute train ride from everything. Do it!
Quite simply, the loft was beautiful and exactly as described! The hosts were kind and helpful. The care and pride of ownership was obvious upon arrival. We could not have been more happy. True, you're a bit out of town, however, with a quick walk to the train station, getting to downtown Chicago was no big deal. More importantly, there were a lot of great pubs and other places to eat within a stones throw of the flat. It was great! Thank you!
We arrived to fresh flowers and enough simple groceries so we could enjoy a simple breakfast the next morning. That was great. The loft had everything from maps and suggestion for site seeing. I was there for the birth of my first grand daughter. I enjoyed my month long stay. It was was prefect.
My husband and I bought the condo in November of 2011, and ever since we turned the key it has been a labor of love. Self described property and construction enthusiasts, we remodeled everything ourselves except for a few key pieces which warranted a strict learning curve. We hope to remodel more properties in the near future before the baby train ensues! :)
