Hong Kong Island cuts out from a Rock, so be prepared to hike up and down the city with comfortable shoes. The apartment locates in a prestigious area overlooks Hong Kong Park and across the Victoria Harbor. The colonial history is in the neighborhood: the Governor's House, St. John's Cathedral, Helena May Building, and the Peak Tram Terminal. For hikers, tree lined Old Peak Road is your trail. We are 12 mins walk to Lan Kwai Fong, Escalator Walk, SoHo. 20 mins walk to Airport Express/IFC, Star Ferry. 5 mins walk to HSBC headquarter and the heart of the central business district. For international trade shows and Art Basel at the Exhibition and Convention Centre, it is approx 25 mins walk. Wan Chai former red light district, and the Computer Centre are 4 tram stops away. This area is also the embassy district for the U.S. and the British embassies, the Chinese Foreign Office and the Offices of Former Chief Executives are metres away. It is the most convenient and ideal lodging for budget businessmen, and for travelers who want to chill in the hip places and crawl back home in the early wee hours to wake up and see birds and greenery.
Hong Kong Island cuts out from a rock. Be prepared to walk uphill and downhill a lot. If you don't like walking, you'd better stay in Kowloon side. Hong Kong is one of the safest cities in the world to walk alone on the streets for a man or a woman. My apartment is not next to or above any MTR station. That makes my place unique and feels like living in Manhattan. You need to walk 10 mins through the HK Park to get to the MTR. That's why I'm in the Oasis. Taxi fare from Central to Kennedy Road is US$5. For budget traveler, Central & Admiralty MTR stations are 15 min walking distance. There are also public big buses and mini buses almost to the door. You can also travel around in trams. It's an experience!

REMEMBER: You still need to walk about 2- 12 mins to my apartment after you get off from these public transports. If you don't like to walk, you can take taxi which is very cheap. If you don't want to pay for the taxi, or walk, and expect the apartment is right above the train station when you get off, then, this is not the place for you. Prestigious place is NEVER above a public train station.
