Wonderful experience! The host is super nice！ Strongly recommend!
I always find reviews so useful to read, but I have a terrible habit of not leaving them myself. However, I made a mental note that I must complete one for my stay with Ka Kee. Although my stay was short (only one night, two days), Ka Kee was exceptionally welcoming. Her house was so very comfortable and she was extremely hospitable. Plus, as she says in the description, it is extremely central and easy to get to!
She really went out of her way to make me feel at home, having tea with me and talking about politics/feminism/art. Both Ka Kee, her stories and her home were beautiful. Unsurprisingly, as she owns a gallery, she has the most wonderful collection of art, and exceptional taste. I recommend staying here!
I can enjoy the luxery to keep this review very briefly: After six marvelous days in HK I just need to confirm that all positive things mentioned about Ka Kee and her place are just true! This was an outstanding nice AirBnB stay! Thank you!
Very good experience～ Had a happy weekend with Ka Kee^_^
Ka Kee and Joyce were great - supporting me as I wandered around Hong Kong, giving me ideas of places to go and things to do.
The room is private and extremely well equipped.
The unit had everything I needed and more - totally at home and some great chats about HK's history and the current social context.
I hope to visit again - a great introduction to HK!
About the Host, Ka Kee
I'm a local Chinese, but I'm more a global person due to my extensive travel and years of living abroad. I am an art consultant and the owner of Gallery of Objects. I paint, write and enjoy reading. I am knowledgeable with both ancient Chinese and local colonial history. I chose to become a host to meet people from all over the world. Meeting different people, learning their cultures, and listening to their life stories humble and enrich me. Similarly, I wish all my guests will take home with them a memorable home-stay experience and a better understanding of my culture and my part of the world. My favourite cities are New York, Melbourne, Istanbul, and Hong Kong. I'm a spiritual person. Every person that comes into my life has a very special reason and meaning, and I cherish this universal truth.
