Hong Kong is frequently described as a place where "East meets West", reflecting the culture's mix of the territory's Chinese roots with influences from its time as a British colony. Hong Kong balances a modernised way of life with traditional Chinese practices. Concepts like feng shui are taken very seriously, with expensive construction projects often hiring expert consultants, and are often believed to make or break a business.

Kali's place is absolutely fabulous. Clean, homely, well-appointed. I loved it! I was particularly grateful for all the personal touches - drinks in the fridge, a few light snacks, plenty of clean towels. Just terrific! The 7 flights of stairs (as identified by other reviewers) is the only downside but I viewed it as daily exercise! The upside of the stairs is that apartment is quiet (despite being right in the centre of Soho) and feels very safe. Thank you to Kali and her helper Jocelyn for their hospitality. I will definitely stay again!
Very very central, but remember it is at the top of 7 flights of stairs. Booking and check-in were very easy, seamless in fact. The flat isn't as new as it appears in the pictures and there is a bit of wear and tear in places but I would definately stay here again and I would recommend it to people who wanted a stay in central Hong Kong. There were a few coke zeros and bottled water in the fridge placed there for our arrival which was a kind thought.
The apartment has a great location and clean. The only drawback is the 7 floors you have to climb to get there after a long day sightseeing. Kaline is very helpful if you have any questions. Highly recommended.
Great apartment in a central location of Hong Kong - it is quite close to the escalators and lots of bars/cafes and restaurants just around the corner. The apartment itself was bright and airy and had a comfy bed. Kaline also stocked the fridge with water and other drinks which was quite handy. The only drawback was the 7 flights of stairs. Kaline was a great host with excellent advice and instructions. I would stay here again, and can recommend to others.
Best airbnb experience so far! ..... Kali's place is in a great location, only one block from the mid-level escalators and lots of different restaurants and bars around. The apartment has everything you need and the fridge is stocked with different drinks for when you arrive and during your stay. The 7 flights of stairs are a great workout when you have been shopping all day, I know I lost some calories!
Kaline was such a great host, she replied to all my e-mails and gave me some great advice on shopping, eating and general sightseeing activities. Great Great Great!
Kaline was a fantastic host. Lots of detailed instructions, restaurant suggestions and she even met us off the train to deliver the key. The apartment was fantastic as well, right in the heart of the hippest area of HK. Strongly recommended. One word of warning though, there are seven flights of stairs to get up to the apartment, so when you leave for the day make sure you have not forgotten anything!
We really enjoyed our stay at Kaline's flat. She was super helpful and friendly and gave us loads of restaurant recommendations. She was also very accommodating when we wanted to change our reservation at the last minute. The location is brilliant, close to Central Station. Jocelyn was lovely as well, who came to tidy up every few days. The fridge was stocked with water and beverages which was a nice bonus. I would highly recommend Kaline's flat for anyone visiting Hong Kong.
Kali was a fantastic host - I'm just sorry that we didn't get a chance to meet. Her apartment is wonderfully situated in the middle of lots of restaurants and boutique shops. It's also close to the escalator/travelator that connects soho and central.
The apartment is very clean and bright. There are 7 flights of stairs to climb so be warned if you have a ton of luggage but it's a great workout. I stayed for a week and she had someone come in after a few days to restock and change linens. She also responded very quickly to have a burned out lightbulb replaced. AND she stocks the fridge with water and other drinks which was very much appreciated after a hike up the stairs.
I had a great time in Hong Kong and Kali's place was a great home base.
This was my first Airbnb stay and it was perfect. Absolutely clean and comfortable. Kaline and Jocelyn, her helper, was very helpful. Jocelyn met me upon my arrival. She even waited for me downstairs so that I was certain to find the place and then helped me with my luggage up the flights of stairs. Kaline and Jocelyn were easily reached for any questions. The location is great and very easy to get to Central station. There are plenty of places to eat, drink, and get supplies near by. Very close to escalators to get you up the hill from Central. I would definitely stay there again. Love Hong Kong! Thanks Kaline!
Kaline apartment in HK is very well located and well equipped. As mentioned by other AirBnb members there is 7 floors to get there, this is not an impossible task but can be hard for some. If you do HK Foodie Tour you will notice that the apartment is located right in the middle of some of HK best and truly original food outlet. The apartment is also close to subway stations and Honk Kong elevators are close by, this is a good thing especially when you are walking up to the 7 floors. All and all if we go back to Hong Kong we would certainly stay back in Kaline apartment.
