Hong Kong is frequently described as a place where "East meets West", reflecting the culture's mix of the territory's Chinese roots with influences from its time as a British colony. Hong Kong balances a modernised way of life with traditional Chinese practices. Concepts like feng shui are taken very seriously, with expensive construction projects often hiring expert consultants, and are often believed to make or break a business.
No smoking in the flat. Smoking is permissible outdoors on the private roof upstairs.
Please be respectful of the wooden furniture (i.e. use coasters for wet glasses /objects), art and glass mirrors.
Air-conditioning may be left on around the clock but please do not open windows at the same time.
Thanks and enjoy your stay!
Kaline was very proactive in sharing information about the apartment and the area. She gave me lots of good tips about eating out before I arrived. When the light fuse went whilst I was there, she responded instantly to my text and it was sorted within a few minutes.
The apartment is comfortable and clean and Kaline provided lots of nice extras to make our stay easy. The 7 flights of stairs is not a problem, and the roof terrace is a fun extra.
We had a great stay at Kaline's apartment. The location is exceptional with lots of wonderful bars and restaurants on your doorstep. Kaline had sent a great email in advance with all the best spots to eat and drink and we found some great gems thanks to her advice. Bed was comfy and clean, shower was hot and the apartment clean! A recipe for a good stay ;) The flight of stairs is epic but we knew about this and it was only really difficult with the luggage.
We stayed at Kaline's apartment for 4 nights. The location is fantastic - right in the heart of Soho. Lots of eating options, pubs, fine dining restaurants within walking distance. MTR is easily accessible, Central station is a 10 mins walk from the apartment and very well connected through a series of escalators.
The apartment was exactly as per the pictures, clean and well maintained with all amenities.
The apartment is on the 7th floor of a building with no elevator. So you need to climb 7 flights of stairs (although each flight of stairs is much smaller than in most buildings , so it feels more like climbing up 4 or 5 floors).
That apart, it's a great place to stay, brilliant location !
Kaline was a great host! She was friendly and helpful and quick to respond to emails. The apartment felt spacious despite being small, and was in a perfect location for walking anywhere in Central. It had a nice view and everything I needed to enjoy my stay in Hong Kong. Thanks!
Great little place in Soho. Location can't be beat with access to the elevators, restaurants and Sheung Wan. Check in and out was easy as pie and Kali was really responsive. 7 flights weren't easy but it made eating a little less guilt ridden. Highly Recommend this place!
A great location, in one of Hong Kong's most vibrant areas. The stairs can be a challenge but we knew that when we booked. Thanks Kaline.

I'm a native Pacific girl and am happiest living seaside. I have been working in Asia for over three years based in Hong Kong before very recently relocating to Shanghai. I never fail to enjoy returning into this packed, frantic, sultry, colorful and hilly island that I am still proud to call home....and am now enjoying the chance to explore a whole new neighborhood of winding tree-lined roads and French bakeries and commuters on bicycles in the shadow of Shanghai's skyscrapers.
I love hosting friends and new visitors to Hong Kong and Shanghai. I was initially an accidental Airbnb-er and being an avid traveller myself, have been impressed time and time again with the spirit of this community...I would be thrilled to share anything I know about these cities or region with you!
