The Space

Welcome in Plaka , ( the ancient town of the Greek gods ) . The Beginning of the new world :) You are in this old town , next to Monastiraki , under Acropolis and between everything . This is a small ( 45 sq.m. , modern apartment ) "minimum design " equipment with everything you may need for short and long stay .
The apartment is one big open space with cozy double bed + big ( Pull - out Sofa , becoming big double bed ) , in case that you are family of four persons , family with children or just four friends :) There are enough space for all :) In the apartment there are small kitchen , fridge and coffee maker , microwave ... etc. There are shower and WC of course :) As well laundry room equipment with washers and dryers , ( in the building , where you can make laundry for free :)) There is aircondition . Here you will find luxury towels and linens, and everything you need to make your stay wonderful and comfortable. All necessary kitchen utensils. The apartment also has central heating, alarm, alloy external protective blinds , armored door ... etc.
Although you are in Plaka, Monastiraki and near the most busy tourist area, between all the small taverns and bars (the apartment is located in a quiet street, and you can relax after a long day exploring Athens). Actually the apartment is great :)
Monastiraki Square (the main square of the old city - in the shadow of the Acropolis), is one of the major hubs of public transport , where you can catch the blue metro line (to the Airport), and the green metro line to the main port ( Piraeus ). You are in about 2 minutes from the central market of Athens, close to many supermarkets, grocery stores , bars , pubs , small taverns , ...etc.
The area of GAZY , is the most famous Nightlife area in Athens 24/7 .
You are next to all the Attractions , the sight side many restaurants , museums , next to the green spot of Athens . In about 10-15 min. from the posh area Kolonaki , ( one of the best bars , the famous designers and " HIGH LIFE "neighbourhood :)
Syntagna square , where the Parliament is located , is the main square in Athens. You are close to Syntagma , about 5 minutes by foot - walking on Ermou street , ( the main shopping street in Athens ) , and in the same time far from any possible demonstrations , (although they are no longer in vogue here ;)
YOU'RE IN THE HEART OF THE ACTION !!!

  • The apartment was great: very large, very clean, and it appears to have been recently renovated. Excellent location and close to all the sights. Miglen was very helpful. We arrived very late on the ferry, and Miglen met us and gave us a good introduction to the apartment and Athens. We would definitely stay here again if we spend time in Athens.

  • Miglen was a wonderful host. He met us at the metro station, bought us some fresh fruit from the market and walked us over to the apartment less than 3 blocks away. The place has an elevator which was nice given we were hauling luggage. The apartment is just like the pictures and in an excellent location to shop and explore the city. Miglen gave us a map and some great information on what to see and where to go to shop and eat. Just like any city, there's graffiti and homeless people. Since we have been to many cities before, we weren't bothered by that. We had a great time in Athens and we definitely want to go back to visit again, and when we do, we will stay at Miglen's place again! Thanks Miglen! :-)

  • The listing is a 2minute walk from Monastiraki Square, which was a perfect location for us tourists. Whatever you do, make sure you get a gyro and Greek salad on Souvlaki Row (practically next door). The apartment had nice touches. The kitchen was well equipped with dishes and cooking supplies, as well as coffee, sugar and olive oil, and Miglen brought us fresh fruit (a lot of it!) and yogurt! It was spotlessly clean. We enjoyed our stay. The only regret was that it was very hot in Athens when we were there, and the air conditioning was not powerful enough to cool down the whole apartment. The couch next to the window (under the AC unit) got a breeze, but the air didn't seem to reach the bed, so the sleep wasn't totally comfortable. Thanks for our stay and your wonderful hospitality!

  • Miglen was an excellent host. He met us at Montsaraki Square to walk us to the apartment & gave us great tips about what to do in the city and how to get there. Miglen left fresh fruit, milk, and coffee available to us, which was very appreciated. The apartment was in a great location & my husband & I were able to walk everywhere. Originally we were looking in Plaka, because it seemed closer to everything, but Plaka is only a 5 minute walk away, so worth saving the money you would spend on Plaka rates.
Miglen was very attentive to our needs and addressed any problems immediately. Our first night there the breaker shorted out (our fault) and it couldn't be fixed with the breakers in the room, within an hour Miglen came and fixed the problem.
My only con would be the AC does not seem to be strong enough for the apartment
We would stay here again any time we visit Athens!

  • we arrived at the metro station at 8pm. Miglen picked us up, bought us fruit for breakfast, and showed us to the apartment. As stated in the description, there is laundry room in the building which is free for residents, but Miglen said it was wear down so he offered to do our laundry for us. We take him up on the offer. Later, out of curiosity we checked the laundry place. Although the washers looked a bit dirty and wear down outside, they were sparkly clean inside so we would have no problem with it. However it was very nice of Miglen to take care of our laundry so we didn't have to worry about it. We are so glad we stated at Miglen's instead of hotels. The area was lively, full of restaurants so we were able to grab a late dinner and take a stroll with acropolis view. Lower price for better quality!

  • Miglen's apartment is in the right spot in Athens, just a few minutes walk to everywhere. Is very comfortable and functional. There are a couple of bars in the same street so it can get a little bit loud but nothing serious, if you close the balcony door it gets quiet. I would definitely stay again in this apartment if i come back to Athens, hope so!

  • Miglen made everything so simple, we could not have been happier with our accommodation. He met us at the metro station and led us on the 4 minute walk to the apartment. Everything in the place was exactly as the description and pictures promised, and a few small groceries (milk, OJ, fruit, coffee) were even provided in the room. Miglen sat down and showed us all of the best places in Athens on a map he provided, leaving very little to question of how to find the major attractions. You are really in the heart of the city at Miglen's apartment, a great location. I would recommend this accommodation to anyone, a great apartment with an even better host.

  • Miglen is such a nice guy and was a great host! The room is absolutely beautiful...very spacious and clean, and my friend and I felt like we were staying in a hotel. It had everything we needed, and the location could not have been more perfect. (He's not kidding when he says that it's right near the Acropolis!) Most of the main attractions in Athens are very close by. I would highly recommend this place.
