My family of 4 spent 6 nights in Stacey’s 2 Bedroom condominium located South of Kailua just off Alii Drive overlooking a scenic cove. Whence we arrived at Turtle House we were welcomed with a basket of fresh various fruits and enough roasted coffee for our stay. The unit is surrounded by verdant landscaping and three swimming pools (one adult only). Turtle House was stocked with all the requisite kitchen supplies and “beach toy’s” that an active family would require. Comfy rattan furnishings, fresh linens all in a clean and comfortable environment made our stay more pleasurable. Stacey, thank you for allowing us to stay in your home, “Turtle House” …

Turtle House is lovely, perfectly located for quiet, convenience and on-site amenities. Inside and out, our experience was lovely. View easy access of Heei'a, the pools (no chlorine - it's magic!), the well equipped kitchen, beach and bath towels galore - really made our stay special, easy and complete! Thank you, Stacey for creating a home on the Big Island for visitors!

This is my third year staying at this complex but my first time in this unit. It was beautifully decorated with turtle art and super well-equipped with everything from beach gear to cooking equipment. Only downside is that the unit gets rather warm, especially the upstairs loft bedroom, so be prepared to have all the fans on to help cool the air. Opening the high windows helped circulate the heat out too. Picked this rental based on value and location with nice views of little bay. Kanaloa is quiet and well maintained... away from main tourist area but convenient to everything. Stacey was easy to work with and we could let ourselves in for check in.

We loved staying at Stacey's place. The house really had everything we needed: in the kitchen, for the beach and to have comfort and feel at home. For our beach trips: snorkeling gear, boogie boards, beach towels, an umbrella. We always found what we needed in the kitchen. The grocery store is super close. The pools were perfect for the kids and us - loved watching the sunset and hearing the surf at the ocean view pool. Farmers markets were close. Recommendations for what to do helped us plan our days and allowed us to go to the best places. We liked the small bookstore at the nearby strip mall (near the KTA grocery store). We have friends right up the brand new road to Captain Cook, which was perfect for us. We would definitely recommend the Turtle House to anyone looking for a place near Kona.

Stacey was very responsive and easy to communicate with. One of the things we liked most was the condo's location across from the main pool in the complex, which had chairs in the shade all day long. There is lots to do close by, including snorkeling, manta ray tours, coffee farm tours and shopping. As advertised, the condo does not have AC.

We had a wonderful stay at Stacey's house. The house was roomy and was just right for our family. The views from each balcony and the sounds of the waves was such an added bonus. The location of the condo is perfect, down the street from stores, walking distance to the water, three pools to enjoy and beautiful grounds. Downtown area of Kona is only a few minutes drive. Our snorkeling cruise trip began walking distance from the house and is the spot where one of their King's was born so it is historical too. It did get quite hot as there isn't air conditioning. The fans help and you want to be sure to put one next to the bed while you sleep.

I am a long term, San Francisco resident for over 20 years. These days, most of my time is spent dog walking on Bernal Hill with my beautiful flat coat retriever, helping my son apply to colleges, biking the hills of the bay area, training for Ironman, and traveling as much as possible. Oh yea, teaching college in between the adventures. I recently spent two months biking in Girona Spain and France. What an amazing adventure. My current world is alive with meeting new people from different places and exploring new cultures and worlds.
