Listing description was accurate and the view of downtown was incredible! This was a perfect place to watch the fireworks, and Norm was very helpful when we needed some assistance with the grill.
The place was exactly as I expected, the view is incredible, it's close to down town and there is an awesome porch. Older place.
I had a good time staying at the penthouse studio. The view was great and the location was ideal.
Norm's place worked out for us because we were only in Tucson for a couple of days and had activities planned for the majority of the time so were not in the apartment much. The location is nice, and the view is great. The apartment is a nice size for two people. Unfortunately, we found the place to be quite unkept and dirty - food in the refrigerator from previous guests, a broken screen that let in a lot of flies, etc. While it's very affordable and we weren't expecting a five-star resort, we do expect a place to have been cleaned in between guests, and this didn't feel that way. Hoping it was just a fluke, as others seem to have enjoyed their stay.
What a lovely stay at A Mountain Penthouse! Very comfortable with a magnificent view!
The studio was dirty and smelled. It obviously hadn't been cleaned in a while as the floors and surfaces were dirty. At least the sheets and towels were clean. There was still food in the fridge from previous occupants and my experience was highlighted by the Tucson Police Dept pounding on my door at 3am on my first night there asking if I had seen or heard anything related to a burglary across the street. This was my first and probably last experience with Airbnb.. Terrible...
Our two night stay at Norm's guesthouse was everything he described. It was nice and cozy with a GREAT view of the city; he has a great balcony and close to Tumomoc Hill (which was really a mountain) trail. We walked to local coffee shops and food areas and drove shortly into campus to meet up with folks. The directions he gave were easy and the stay was peaceful. :) Thanks Norm--would definitely recommend others to stay here. Great deal.
