We love our neighbors, please respect the noise levels so they love us too!
This review is actually for the B-unit. Another group of folks had gotten into our intended unit a day or two prior. We arrived pretty late, so hiccups are expected. That being said, Norm was fantastic in letting us just grab the other unit.
Before you even get inside, you get a lovely view of the city. It was pretty awesome day and night. The deck has a fireplace, a grill, chairs, etc. Going in, you're greeted with the kitchen, the living room, bathroom in the hallway, and finally the bedroom. Everything was clean and ready for us. As for location, it was a fantastic jumping off point for exploring the city.
I can't mention much about the public transportation, but driving by motorcycle around the city was nice. If driving, within minutes you can reach the outer limits or the heart of downtown.
The only issue is that wifi was pretty spotty. If you really need it and must stay indoors, I definitely recommend a range extender of some sort.
Overall, we were very satisfied with our stay and would love to visit again!
Nice place in a great location. Norm was around and in the mix (including a brief history of Tucson historic sites) but also really respected the privacy of the guests.
It was really great stay at A-mountain penthouse studio. Clean, private, and most of all the view from penthouse was amazing! Also location is very convenient. Close to downtown. Unfortunately wi-fi didn't work while I was staying.
Listing description was accurate and the view of downtown was incredible! This was a perfect place to watch the fireworks, and Norm was very helpful when we needed some assistance with the grill.
The place was exactly as I expected, the view is incredible, it's close to down town and there is an awesome porch. Older place.
I had a good time staying at the penthouse studio. The view was great and the location was ideal.
Norm's place worked out for us because we were only in Tucson for a couple of days and had activities planned for the majority of the time so were not in the apartment much. The location is nice, and the view is great. The apartment is a nice size for two people. Unfortunately, we found the place to be quite unkept and dirty - food in the refrigerator from previous guests, a broken screen that let in a lot of flies, etc. While it's very affordable and we weren't expecting a five-star resort, we do expect a place to have been cleaned in between guests, and this didn't feel that way. Hoping it was just a fluke, as others seem to have enjoyed their stay.
