We found a much welcomed respite from the comings and goings of the usual tourist B&Bs and Vacation Rentals in Hawaii. From the location, to the hosts and owner, to the other guests, to the grounds themselves - the property feels like a Zen retreat.

Paliuli was a lovely quiet space, very clean, great sunsets from the lanai. The kitchen had everything I needed. It was very close to great snorkeling.

This was my best airbnb experience of the 9-day trip around the island. The plumeria room has an amazing view and the sunset from lanai is ... a total luxury! hosts made me feel very welcome, most kind. hope to make it back someday.

Paliuli Farm was a wonderful experience. Hosts were so very attentive, helpful in all ways, and caretake both guest house and property with love. Sharing the kitchen, bathroom, and porch worked out just fine. Everything was very clean, and our laundry was washed and line dried in the sun! We borrowed their snorkeling equipment for 2 outings into the divine waters, one of which required a steep trail to Captain Cook monument . Just incredible! This location has great spiritual energy. Fresh fruit and nuts were delicious.

We had a wonderful time at this place. The mindful quiet was a special treat. The place is simple, very clean, and pleasing to the eye. Our hosts were helpful and obliging. There is a great view of the sunset. The shared bathroom is a lovely and tidy space, the kitchen is equipped for simple meals. This is just the place for people who like quiet gentle time in a country setting, with other quiet mindful guests.

The place is very clean, comfortable and quiet, and hosts are very friendly. It is close to painted church and Puuhonua O Honaaunau Nat'l Hist Park! There is a good snorkeling spot beside the park.

Aloha kakou (Hello to all):
The owner, Marc, fell in love with the Big Island in 1982 and bought this coffee farm in 2008 after living in several locations around the island. He spends about 65% of his time here on this island paradise which he considers "home". The farm offers him and his guests, a peaceful, quiet, farm stay on aina (land) that is deeply rooted in the old Hawaiian traditions and ways of Aloha. He danced hula with Halau 'O KeikiAli'i and grows gourds for making Ipu Heke (gourd implements used by hula dancers). He starts most every day with a great swim at one of the many bays in South Kona.
