Come play in the heart of the Village of Carlsbad! If you love California, you will love the Village. Small town vibe, cool bars, shops, and awesome restaurants in your backyard. There's art fairs, a Farmers Market, always something to do.. and the beach is only a few blocks away!
It's a cozy apartment on the first floor. Tile floors are great for tracking in sand. Bars are in your backyard (cool bars with live bands, fire pits, and people out every night).
You get the place. Feel free to use anything in the cabinets.
I'm pretty quick to respond if you need recommendations on where to eat, visit, and sites to see. There's so much to do, have fun exploring on your own.
Walking distance to coffee shops, cute beach shops (non-touristy too) and we have art fairs, huge bike lanes, farmers market. The Village of Carlsbad is a must see and stay if you are in San Diego. You will fall in lovebirds with the area!
I am about a quarter mile from the Carlsbad coaster stop.
I travel a lot for work, so I don't cook here a lot. If you going to be cooking food, I have very basic cooking supplies, but you may want to bring your own. Also, I don't drink caffeine, so no coffee maker, but there's lots of great places at your doorstep for coffee.
Stephanie's apartment was perfectly located for our Legoland adventures with a 3 and 5 year old, just two exits up the freeway. There is an Albertson's grocery right around the corner that was invaluable. It would have been a cute area to explore had we been alone, looks like many little shops, dining options, etc.
The apartment is easy to get to from the highway, parking was fine since there's a reserved space. We arrived to clean linens and towels, and seemingly plenty of hot water for bathing after a long trip. The master bed was fine to sleep on although we now know memory foam isn't our preference (there's no place like home, right?!). The front room couch converts to a double bed which the boys loved.
Remember, no TV, no coffee maker. :) Kitchen utensils are sparse but the knives are super-sharp! If you're not planning to cook every dinner like we had to with picky kids, have fun finding the restaurants instead! If you do need to cook, bring some basic pots and pans.
All in all we're delighted with our stay and Stephanie was super-flexible for adding on a day at the last minute. Very quick response to all inquiries and emails too. Thanks so much!
Nice place to stay. Clean linens waiting for me when I arrived. Great communication with Stephanie. We did not meet in person but, she was quick to respond to questions. Laundry facilities on site, big +. Friendly neighbors, close to many places to eat, bars, shops, etc. A bit of a walk to the beach but, doable. Not having a tv for a few days was actually refreshing. Easy internet access. And inexpensive ! Perfect for a crash pad. I would stay there again.
Really cute apartment and super close to everything! We walked to dinner, bars, coffee, etc. Stephanie was really nice and quick to respond. Perfect spot for the weekend!
My fiance and I were attending a seminar at the Hyatt Aviara Resort so staying at Stephanie's place was perfect for us. It was only about a ten minute drive for us :) Also, I absolutely loved the neighborhood. It had so many cute shops and great places to eat. We even got to stop by the Farmers Market on Wednesday afternoon which was so nice. I would definitely recommend staying with Stephanie. Thanks!
I needed a last minute place in carlsbad this past weekend and Stephanie was able to accommodate. The apartment was cozy and the internet connection was a plus. What really sets it apart is the location. I took a walk the next morning and couldn't believe how close the apt is to the village not far from the beach. What a great little place. I'll definitely be back.
Stephanie was very sweet, we didn't actually meet in person but she left a key for me.
The apartment is in a great location in the heart of carlsbad!
Great stay! Stephanie had great and fast communication. The place is very close to things and you can easily walk to get dinner or drinks. Her bed was also very comfortable! We would stay again.
Comfortable bed and clean sheets and towels were waiting for me when I arrived. Working wifi also meant I was able to work remotely during my stay. The beach was a five minute walk away, and the apt very close to the Coaster, meaning I could get to and from the airport very easily. I knew to bring a bunch of movies with me on my laptop, as there was no TV in the apt.
Stephanie was very quick to respond to our reservation request and always available for questions. Her apartment was in a great beach neighborhood with fantastic restaurants, and her neighbors were really friendly and cool people. Thanks for letting us come back later, after check-out, to pick up our food from the fridge.
Stephanie was great with communicating before the trip. I bugged her a few times.
I can't give 5 stars because the place wasn't 2 blocks to beach. It was 10! Was considering 3 stars but I'm new to airbnb and my expectations may be off. Hotwire listed nearby hotel rate for similar price. Most likely if I traveled to location again given all pluses and minuses I'd go the hotel route.
Apartment was harshly painted in wild purple and pink but we liked it. There were laundered towels waiting for us and place was clean though we'll lived in. I moved a heavy leaning headboard to reduce likely hazard given having a couple kids. Big Cchandelier was on floor in bedroom. Things worked well like WiFi and shower but tub would not hold water. Place could use a couple floor lamps and coffee maker, kettle. We were happy with no TV.
One concern I had was nearby neighbor had ashtray full of cigarettes. We didn't encounter neighbor so didn't have to deal with smoke.
