Enhanced Clean
This host committed to Airbnb's 5-step enhanced cleaning process.
We are taking some time off through 2021 due to Covid 19. We were booked 7 nights a week and look forward to that again someday. Also the property was partially burned in the Malibu fires so we are waiting til things grow back until we reopen this listing to bookings. Thanks

Our lovely vintage airstream is a tiny home placed on a hilltop on 10 acres of land overlooking the Malibu coast line. We are updating the property with a with a zen, bohemian chic, rustic style.

The space
A vintage trailer off grid on a peaceful Malibu mountain top with an ocean view. This unique experience is for nature lovers, zen seekers and romantics with a sense of adventure. We have had multiple writers and creatives looking for some peace quiet and to focus away from the city.

Our listing has the earliest check in and latest check out that we've seen. (2pm check in noon check out).

The perfect staycation spot that's just 25 minutes north of Santa Monica.

Full futon mattress with memory foam with fresh clean sheets (cotton or microfiber), blankets/comforters (down w/duvet), pillows, electric space heater (heats it up in 15-20 minutes) fan, electric water heater/tea kettle, kitchenware, snacks, drinks, spring water, ice box and towels, paper towels, candles, and a bottle of local wine are all included. Two burner stovetop, pots & pans, cutting boards, knives/utensils inside as well as two burner propane cook stove outside and mini propane BBQ. Bring your personal belongings and food to cook and your Bluetooth boombox. There is electricity and electrical outlets to plug in your laptops or charge your phones or other devices. Wifi works on a Verizon hotspot with unlimited data so feel free to stream some great tunes while relaxing on the lounge chairs outside.

This trailer is off grid so there is not a full bathroom.
There's a composting toilet inside and always the "water the trees" nature option.
No shower at this point. There will be a solar shower by beginning of the busy season in Summer. A composting toilet is a regular toilet. It's not flushable but works just like a regular toilet and you don't have to do anything to it other than use it like a regular toilet. It's thoroughly cleaned and wiped down with cleanser every time and have had no complaints.

Now accepting photo shoots/video productions/events etc! please see House rules section for details and pricing

Unless there's a bad rainstorm/thunderstorm during your dates you'll be able to pull up and park right next to the airstream. We do live on a dirt road though so if there's s bad rainstorm there's a good chance your reservation will be cancelled for safety and liability issues.

If you're looking to book Memorial Day, 4th of July, Labor Day or any other major Holiday weekend the rates will be booked at a flat rate of $200 per night.

Other things to note
Access info:

The property is on a private dirt road with a dirt driveway expect dirt on your tires and shoes and nature settings. 4x4 or all wheel drive is recommended. We are not liable if you have issues such as getting stuck in mud etc. but will do our best to help. If there's expected rain for your booking dates it will likely be cancelled due to safety. There's mudslides and rockslides when it rains hard and we have to cancel all bookings during heavy storms. Lyft or uber is NOT AVAILABLE. This property is quite far up the canyon and phone reception is spotty.

About phone service up in the canyon. Verizon works best, At&t next best but T-Mobile and many others don't get reception at all. If you do rent a car and don't want to worry about the possibility of muddy tires etc. there's always the option of walking in from the main road which is only a 3-4 minute walk. There is wifi in the airstream through a Verizon hotspot. It's great for checking email and social media.

Expect to hear lots of birds and maybe see some deer, coyotes or quail running around. Hawks, owls, bobcats and mountain lions all live in the area but you will be lucky to get a sighting of one as they keep to themselves.

FYI just so you're aware the property is off grid. The low booking price reflects the minimalist set up so there's only a composting toilet and water from a tank/dispenser but has all your creature comforts: (Other Airstreams in Malibu start at $200 and go up to $500 per night). Our "silver cabin" is very, cozy, fun and functional though and people love the DIY lifestyle experience. It's like having your own little cabin for the night in the mountains of Malibu.

Let us know your thoughts and questions, we look forward to hosting you! Cheers & thanks, -Beau
