This comfortable room is full of light, even in our Eugene winters. Just three blocks south of great local shopping and restaurants and convenient to the University and downtown Eugene. One block from a bus stop that goes to downtown and UO.
This cute two bedroom, one bath house is all about location and the east-facing view of the valley. And the new kitchen that I am still putting a few finishing touches on! Lots of light, an open feel, and quiet. Full-size bed (not a queen size, so it will be cozy for two people).
I can provide organic Cafe Mam coffee (french press or stove top espresso) or tea, if you are interested, before you head out to explore.
Guests are welcome to use the kitchen and wireless internet.
This is a shared space, and I work from home, which means I'm available when needed, but that I also need people to be quiet and respectful of that arrangement. If you are here during the week, I would prefer that you not hang out at the house much, since I will be working. I will be around to answer questions and provide recommendations on places to visit while in Eugene, ranging from thoughts on our great hiking trails, to the multitude of restaurants, bars, music venues, etc. we have to enjoy.
My house is perched on a hill near the end of a quiet dead-end street. One set of stairs leads up to the house, and there are a few more onto the small front porch. A local grocery store (Market of Choice) is a short three block walk down the hill, along with many local restaurants and a hip new bar with darts, pool, and other games.
The LTD routes pick up one block from my house and go to downtown (24) and UO (73).
Two felines also share our space, though they will not go into your room (unless you want them to). They're full of personality, and they often do want to say hello if you are in their space.
I wake up early, but that doesn't mean that you have to, since I'm naturally quiet in the mornings.
I try to live simply and with as small of an environmental impact as possible, eating locally and biking or walking around town more often than driving.
This was my first experience with airbnb, so I was a bit unsure of what to expect. Sarah was a great host, friendly and kind, and also responded quickly and thouroughly. She accommodated me within short notice and also with an exception to her usual policy. Her home was comfortable, clean and simple which made me feel relaxed and at ease while there. The room I stayed in was clean and ready when I arrived. It is small, but well appointed and uncluttered so felt bigger, plus the big window with a nice view added to the ambiance. I slept with the window open, as was soothed to sleep with frog song and crickets in the distance and very little traffic or other typical city noise. I felt very safe as well. Thanks Sarah!
I'm so glad I stayed here! Sarah is an amazing host!
Sarah and her two cats were wonderful hosts. Will stay again.
Quiet, clean and well located. I will stay there again when I need to.
Sarah is a very gracious host, the accommodations were exactly as described, and my having to cut my trip short a day due to work issues posed no problem. All in all a great airbnb experience that i would recommend highly.
I loved Sarah's cozy little house and her two big friendly felines. Sarah is doing interesting work and it was great fun to chat with her. I would love to stay there again, particularly because her home is three blocks from where my dad is living.
This was an excellent stay. Sarah was very warm, welcoming, and easygoing. I appreciated the clean, uncluttered, open space and wonderful light and views. Slept well and would definitely stay there again. Highly recommend.
My first airBNB booking and I wanted to be the perfect guest. Alas, a series of delays (traffic mostly) put me into Eugene about 2 hours later than expected. I kept Sarah updated and she was wonderfully patient with me. The house is located in a quiet section of Eugene, close to the city but nice and quiet.
Sarah is a really nice person, intelligent, articulate & friendly.
Great clean place, great view in the morning, Friendly and helpful host. Recommended 100%. The mattress was a little saggy but we slept really well.
Thanks for the feedback, Maria! I appreciate the honesty about the mattress - I am in the process of trying to upgrade, so hopefully will have that problem fixed soon. I'm glad you guys slept well, anyways, and thanks again for your kindness to the cats; I know Willy greatly enjoyed your stay!
Sarah made it very easy for us to stay in Eugene. Nice host. Very easy going and good location. Her room/house does has a nice view. Highly recommend and would stay there again.
