A lovely cosy room on the second floor at the back of this character property in the market place with sole use of the nook aka desk n armchair outside on the sunny top landing as a quiet working/reading/writing nook. Pls read all before booking.

It is in the beautiful quirky flat of a personable bookseller in wonderful Loftus, from the woods with waterfalls behind (from roof garden you can hear owls) to longer walk to the coastal path or Cattersty Sands beach. Booklovers & contractors welcome.

The space
You will be staying in the bookseller’s home.

Cafes (inc award winning Willow Cake Shop) and bakery with cooked breakfast nearby as well as restaurant and takeaways plus supermarket open 7am to 10pm daily just across the street. Feel free to bring food back to eat.

The bedroom’s window looks onto the stairs and landing in this rather unique property brimming with endearing character.

The sunny bright landing has a skylight and a small window near the floor. Two flights of stairs to reach it.

Bathroom, kitchen, roof garden, conservatory are on middle floor with a further separate toilet in the yard. There is no tv.

Not suitable for children aged 1-10 or pets.

Guest access
There is also a sun trap roof garden for outdoor dining or the conservatory with sofa and dining table overlooking the roofs towards the woods and stream. You can hear owls, sheep and the local church bells chime. Rather charming really.

Kitchen can be used for simple quick cooking. There is no full size oven but there is an airfryer and small oven/grill plus microwave, toaster and hob.

Shared bathroom in the flat (bath and electric shower) and a new extra toilet in the yard outbuildings.

You will be sharing communal areas with just one other bedroom if occupied at the time of your stay by either the bookseller or other guest/s.

During your stay
If I am about I am happy to show you the walk in the woods with waterfalls.

Other things to note
