Our clean and comfortable 24' Columbia sleep aboard offers the experience of sleeping on a boat but offers land amenities such as shower and restroom facilities, barbecue grills, picnic tables, etc.
Have you ever slept floating? You can enjoy this experience on our 1964 Columbia 24" sailboat. Recently renovated on the inside, The Cosmos provides the perfect accommodations for one or two young people (perfect "crash pad" for the 20- and 30-somethings!). The boat has only two rooms: a sleeping berth (with a double-sized bed), and a sitting area. Lots of storage and counter space, but no cooking facilities or running water. Economical, air-conditioned and electrically equipped, the boat is clean and comfortable. Restroom and shower facilities are provided elsewhere on the property, as well as access to refrigerator, barbecue grills and picnic tables. Towels, coffee maker, and wifi are provided on the boat. Kayaks, snorkeling gear and bicycles available at no extra cost. A very cool "boat-camping" experience. Maximum occupancy: 2 (boat used for room only - not sailing)
Please feel free to check other units under our profile, and thanks for considering Best of Both Worlds!
Complimentary kayaks, snorkeling gear and bicycles. Common area refrigerator, barbecue grills, picnic tables, restroom, shower, laundry facilities.
As little or as much as they would like!
We are a little slice of old-style Florida Keys tucked in between cookie-cutter, impersonal hotel rooms. The property abounds in coconut and papaya palms, as well as an abundance of wildlife.
Free parking provided.
We had a great stay in the boat! Kevin and Dana are wonderful, friendly, accommodating hosts. When we arrived it was rainy and windy so Kevin made sure we were going to be comfortable in the boat - but there was nothing to worry about, it was totally fine in there! In fact, when we woke the next morning and waves had stopped I was almost disappointed because the slight rocking of the boat was enjoyable and made me sleep like a rock! Subsequent clear and calm nights were AMAZING as you can see the stars as you fall asleep.
The property is great - we swam, snorkeled, and kayaked from right there. We enjoyed chatting with some of the other guests, but everyone has their own "area" so you can keep to yourself if you want. Kevin and Dana were always willing to share information, tips and recommendations about what to do / where to go. Very fun, low key, relaxing place to spend your time.
Our stay at the boat was really nice and peaceful. Kevin and Dana are very nice and friendly people who will help you out when you ask or need something. They also were very quick with their replies, which I really appreciated.
Thanks for our nice stay in Islamorada!
Oh and the pasta with chicken was very nice at Lazy Days. :)
The weekend was amazing. It is really cool experience to stay on that boat and owners are really nice and help with everything. What I liked in that place that Kevin and Dana tried to do everything as cozy as they can, so you feel very comfy. Thanks for having us, will come back for sure!
We had the most wonderful time on the property. Kevin and Dana have been terrific, warmhearted hosts. Unfortunately it was kinda cold when we got there so Kevin took care that we have it warm and cosy.
H Kevin even took us on a boattrip which was so amazing. The property itself is a piece of paradise, a very quiet, beautiful place to relax and enjoy the keys. We will definitely come back as soon as possible!!!
Beautiful place to stay! Quiet, peaceful and a great (email hidden)'s like something out of a movie, actually. Kevin and Dana upgraded me to the cottage and it was super cute. I made all my meals there and had everything I needed. I also used their snorkel gear and kayak to watch the sunset out on the water. They offered to take me out on the sailboat and I ran out of time. Next time, I'll just have to stay longer. lol! Overall, I highly recommend this place! I'll definitely be back!!
Kevin and Dana were great hosts, due to the weather they moved me to stay in the cottage and then the efficiency room. Both rooms were great and very comfortable and had everything i needed. Kevin even help fillet the fish i caught during my fishing trip. The property is secluded, yet a great base to go fishing and explorer all the keys. Would defiently recommend it for anyone wanting to escape the craziness of Key west. Thanks again for a great stay.
We were upgraded to one of the cabins before we arrived because of the weather - and were pretty glad we had been because the boat might have got a bit steamy!
The room was absolutely fantastic and the position by the sea amazing - still cannot get over the views over the completly flat, still sea.
If you stay here (which I can't recommed enough!) I recommend taking a kayak out for a paddle (but not the yellow one - it is very leaky!), going to the local fish market to stock up on incredible fresh fish for the bbqs provided, and snorkelling around the wall on the left - next to the resort. I did, and met two huge sea turtles who came up really close to me, were very curious and calm about me being there. One of the most amazing experiences I've ever had!
Thanks for having us! Can't wait to come back
What a great little find! This piece of paradise isn't fancy and there are no frills, but was very relaxing, simple, and clean. Being on the bayside was a plus for watching awesome sunsets. Since I was traveling alone I enjoyed meeting and hanging out with the neighbors. I throughly enjoyed my stay at Linda's and will definately come back the next time I'm in the Keys and will recommend it to my friends. Thanks Linda!
This is a great spot and for the price a bargain!! Love the morning/evening swims and falling asleep on the boat.. Be careful sleeping on the hammock as we were eaten alive by fleas and have quite a few souvenirs to take home!!!!
Great way to stay on the bay side and enjoy kayaking and snorkeling right off the edge of the property! The amenities were minimal but we felt alive and had everything we needed. We learned where the local spots were and some great ideas on prioritizing our time - we took full advantage of the beautiful keys. It helps if you are laid back and like reptiles and spending a lot of time in the water =) (our first morning there snorkeling outside we saw a manatee, a ton of parrotfish, two nurse sharks, hogfish, grunts, rock lobsters, damselfish to name a few!)
Ask Linda how to blow the conch at sunset!
