About This Listing
Our very old yet clean and comfortable 24' Columbia sleep aboard offers the experience of sleeping on a boat but provides land amenities such as shower and restroom facilities, barbecue grills, picnic tables, etc.
Have you ever slept floating? You can enjoy this experience on our permanently docked 1964 Columbia 24" sailboat. Recently renovated on the inside, The Cosmos provides the perfect accommodations for one or two young people (perfect "crash pad" for the 20- and 30-somethings!). The boat has only two rooms: a sleeping berth (with a double-sized bed), and a sitting area (it's small, but it's cozy!). Some storage and counter space, but no cooking facilities or running water on-board. Economical, air-conditioned and electrically equipped, the boat is clean and comfortable. Within a few steps, you have access to a fresh-water station and your own gas grill. Restroom, shower facilities and refrigerator access are within a 30-second walk. Towels, coffee maker, toaster and wifi available on the boat. Complimentary kayaks, snorkeling gear and bicycles provided. It's basically camping, but on an air-conditioned boat with a real bed. Maximum occupancy: 2
Complimentary kayaks, snorkeling gear and bicycles. Common area refrigerator, hammocks, picnic tables, restroom, shower, laundry facilities.
Interaction with Guests
As little or as much as they would like!
We are a little slice of old-style Florida Keys tucked in between cookie-cutter, impersonal hotel rooms. The property abounds in coconut and papaya palms, as well as an abundance of wildlife.
Free parking provided - public transportation very limited.
Take your shoes off, relax and enjoy our magnificent sunsets
Kevin and Dana are welcoming hosts, and we loved staying on the boat! It was so cool to be able to snorkel right off the shore and see lots of fish. The sunset was beautiful, as were the stars. It was a rejuvenating place to stay.
Perfect stay at the Keys. The boat, the garden, the marina... Wonderful place for people who are looking for something different than staying in a hotel. Kevin and Dana are really nice and helpful.
I really enjoyed my stay and the sailboat was great as expected. I was able to see a bunch of different things around the Keys because of the location about halfway between Key West and Miami. Snorkeling and kayaking were really convenient and Kevin and Dana were welcoming and accommodating.
Kevin and Dana own a true paradise on Islamorada. We really loved and enjoyed their garden, the view, the fishes right in front of us, the use of hammocks and kayaks. We had our own gas BBQ and could use a common fridge. The boat is allright and big enough for two to sleep, if you are not too heavy.
Kevin is a very friendly host. He even helped me pumping the tyres of my car.
We stayed at Kevin's during the first week of June and there were a lot of tiny mosquitos, so make sure you have a good repellent during this season.
