About This Listing
Opera Rooms 66 was completely renovated in April 2011 thanks to a young architect’s ideas, this new and confortable B&B offers you four beautiful, spacious and modern rooms. The whole structure, which is consistent and accurate in every detail – from the choise of materials to its lights and furnishings – is characterized by both its minimalist style and the “total white” of its ceiling, walls, doors and windows.
The use of four different colours makes every room unique and offers you the chance to choose among orange, light-blue, purple or green the one you like the best.
Located opposite “Teatro dell’Opera” (the Opera Theatre) it has a strategic position, just in the heart of Rome, a few steps far from “Termini Railway and Subway Station” as well as ”Repubblica” Subway Station (Line A). Very simple clean modern and colorful! very close to Termini station. Little breakfast snacks and fruit waiting for you in the room. Water cooler and coffee machine in the hallway for all guests. Check in is a 5 minute walk to the other side of the block at a hotel but besides that everything was convenient and efficient. Thanks!
"Check in must be made at Hotel Martini, Via Nazionale, 18 only 200 mters from the b&b.
From here me or one of my colleague will give you the keys and all info you need for your stay. "
This is the information I give to all my guests about the check in routin and we also print a little map to understand better where they have to go, (although there is no need because it is almost next door) but maybe my uncle Salvatore didn't give you, I am sorry about it.
I am happy that you apprecciate your one night stay, I hope I could host you longer for your next holidays in Rome ; )
I had to book Vale's place at last minute because my flight was canceled but she was very responsive so she kindly pre-approved my request for booking. Since my schedule was very tight I didn't have enough time to plan my visit to Rome but she was patiently helped me with finding (her direction was clear but i found it after i checked out so I had hard time with finding her apartment) and checking in to her place. I asked her for luggage storage too late at night so I ended up paying at the Termini station for it but if you ask her she would keep your luggage at the hotel martini before check-in. The place was EXTREMELY clean and it was true to pictures. It is shared place but you get own bathroom in the room which had all the amenities like hotel! We had 6am flight so her brother at the hotel Martini reserved taxi for us but her place is very close to Termini station as well. I didn't get to see Vanlentina in person but she was very kind and easy to communicate with :) Thank you Vale!
My boyfriend and I stayed for 2nights in Rome at Valentina's B&B.
The check-in process occurs at a nearby hotel. This process took a little longer than desired and we were disappointed to find out we could not access our room until 2 hours later. Infact, we were told the room would "maybe be ready". We had though through prior communication that we could access our room earlier and had made plans accordingly, so we had to rush to our plans after we finally got the keys. We had 2 large suitcases that had to be stored at this hotel during the 2-hour wait and Valetina had us leave them by the window/front entrance, unsecured. This did not make us feel safe.
Valentina was polite, but we had very minimal communication.
Once we received the keys, the actual B&B was a short walk from the hotel.
The actual room matched the photos advertised. We stayed in the lavender room. The washroom was quite small, particularly the shower. I am a small 5"2 and kept knocking into the wall/glass. My boyfriend is a large 6"4 and had quite a difficult time showering. We expected small spaces though in Europe, so we worked with it. We could hear people from other rooms at times. The walls seemed really thin, so I felt bad when we got home late at night and took showers or even flushed the toilet. I hope we didn't disturb our neighbours.
The breakfast was very disappointing. During my previous stay in Rome at a different B&B, we had a fresh cooked meal every morning. At Valentina's it was packaged croissants, packaged crackers, 2 packets of nutella, 2 packets of cheese, 2 apples and a pack of recently expired salami in the (noisy) fridge. Needless to say, it didn't meet our expectations.
The room was large and bed was okay. We were only in Rome for two nights, so it worked for our short stay. The location was really close to the train station, but not as close as desired to key attractions. My boyfriend and I are athletic and love to walk and roam, and we try to avoid taking transit, but it still felt further than ideal. It is really close to a subway station though.
Food options close to this B&B were not really good. Better options and better quality/bang for your buck were much more south in the core.
We didn't know there would be a cleaning service during the day, so we were slightly frightened when we returned mid day to find our personal belongings had been touched and re-arranged. We appreciated that someone tidied the room though.
On a side note, one cool thing was the elevator! It was very rustic and photo worthy.
Overall, the room was clean, comfortable, and suited our needs for such a short stay, however I'm not sure we would return to this B&B in future.
Dear Ms. Sabrina, chek in is after 14:30 but seldom guests can wait for a maximum 30 minutes later and of course this is will not cause, any inconvenient!
Your room was ready 30 minutes later and not, as you said, 2 hours later! This is never happened and of course you confused.
The bathroom is normal size and the shower is standard size as well.
I would like to remember that this is a Bed & Breakfast and not an Hotel wich are 2 differet category and of course with a different and fresh breakfast. The breakfast that we propose is much more than expect for a b&b, all you want is there! The fridge is a BIT noisy and this is absolutely NORMAL, if it was such a big problem you can also turn it off during the night!
You also said that you can hear people from the other room, what a discover! THIS IS AN HOUSE!
You also said that you are athletic....mmm are you sure? Colosseum, Trevi fountain, Piazza venezia are 10 minutes walk, Spanish Steps 15 minutes walk! No need bus or underground! Maybe you don't understood where you exactly was!! Same for million shops, market, pubs, restaurants, bars, trattoria close to my b&b.
The cleaning lady comes everyday to clean the rooms and prepare breakfast and of course she touch the things! Have you ever been to an Hotel or b&b? mmm...but if this situation was a problem for you why you didn't tell us? I could tell the lady do not clean your room.
After all guys, I suggest you, for your next holidays, to go to a 4 star hotel, because you little umilty will not make you appreciate my beautiful house that is loved by everyone who stayed here since 4 years....
Everything was well thought out for guests, such a lovely place and overall the experience was pleasant.
