About this listing
This property is located in the village of Vernazza "National Park of Cinque Terre". This comfortable furnished studio consists of a bathroom with a shower, the main bedroom with a double bed, living area with a single bed as well a tea/coffee facilities and air conditioning. It is located twenty metres from the beach and the main "square" of the village. Restaurants and bars are located in the heart of the village and are walking distance as well as the many tourist attractions this gorgeous town has to offer. Mi aspetto che gli ospiti siano contenti e soddisfatti del loro soggiorno e che mantengano l'appartamento pulito senza provocare danni.
We absolutely loved everything about this place. Gianmaria's father met us at the train station (he was able to identify us from my airbnb picture!) and walked is to the flat. He then walked us around the town and giving us so much valuable information. I've never received such good hospitality before, I was very humbled. So thank you!!
The flat is really spacious and the town Vernazza is beautiful. It's a 10min walk up the hill towards monterosso for a fantastic view point!
We had a pleasant stay in Vernazza. Gianmaria met us at the train station and showed us the studio and gave us a little tour of the town. The studio was nice and looked just like the photos. The studio stayed cool, even during the 90+ degree weather. the Studio is centrally located with easy access to the beach, restaurants , train station and the cinque terre hiking trail.
We got off to a rocky start, however things improved on arrival - despite providing my arrival time a month in advance, Gianmaria then contacted me 3 days before arrival to say he wouldn't be able to check us in after 7pm. This meant altering our daytrip plans in another city, and forfeiting train tickets we had already booked to purchase new ones.
Despite this, it was hard to stay mad on arrival, as Gianmaria was friendly and knowledgeable, taking the time to walk us around Vernazza, pointing out some great bars, restaurants and swimming areas.
The apartment itself is as advertised - no frills (no wifi, washing machine or air conditioning, and very limited tea/coffee facilities), but it is clean, comfortable and in a great location in beautiful Vernazza. Having visited the other villages during our stay, its proximity to the train station is a big plus (I can't imagine hauling luggage from Corniglia station up 300+ steps to the village proper is much fun!)
All in all, we enjoyed our time in Vernazza and at this property
Gianmaria was always quick to respond to emails and texts. His father Libero met us at the station and took us to the apartment which is in a great location so close to the water and many restaurants. Libero gave us a quick tour of the town some of his favourite places to eat and how to go about buying tickets for trains and ferries. It was a pleasant stay although there is no air con the apartment is surprisingly cool. Thank you for accommodating us.
We were met by the hosts's father at the train station who very kindly and as though he had all the time in the world, gave us a tour of the town, restaurant recommendations, ice cream flavour recommendations (ricotta and fig) and of course showed us all we needed to know in the apartment.
The location of the studio is ideal - not even a one minute walk from the port and beach in one direction and to the beggining of the hike trails in the other! Though it is a studio, it is quite big and there is a part-wall which partly divides the living area and the bedroom. This seaparation also means that the bedroom area at the back of the apartment is quite cool - even without aircon, we found it a perfectly comfortable sanctuary for an afternoon retreat from 30+ degree heat.
The main attraction though is of course the town of Vernazza itself - the most perfect of all the Cinque Terre. Swimming, water-side restaurants, sunsets, narrow streets and prettiness.
The Vernazza room was a great little studio in the middle of Vernazza right off the village square.
Gianmaria's father met us at the train station and showed us all around the village and explained his favorite places and things to do the keep us busy!
Vernazza was definitely our favourite of the Cinque Terre and Gianmaria's place was in the centre of town. Great location, the unit was comfortable and clean. Definitely would return again.
