La Cabane du Lamas is located in the Lot et Garonne countryside near the Dordogne in Aquitaine. Of large country houses and castles to visit in the area, and many fruits and vegetables to eat.
Come and enjoy an unusual location in the trees in the South West. The cabin with a beautiful view is perched 6 meters in the countryside, near the Périgord. Its implementation has required hundreds of hours and thousands of holes, screws and other cuts.
The treehouse is small but very functional. There is a
a super BZ sofa 160cm with a latex mattress 12cm thick enough sleep. You will also find lots of nice LED lighting not to eat too! You can enjoy a small kitchenette with everything you need to make a small meal. Plancha goes well for you good good recipes with small garden produce and neighbors. And especially how to rest, hammock, lounge chair in the "hut". And a large outside the center of the heart to see the Milky Way and all its stars mattress

Merci!!!
For the boys it was a great adventure. Unfortunately the weather was not that great so we just spend the night and moved on.
However inside the cabane, it was very nice and cosy.
Sleeping on a futon was a bit difficult for my 4 year old, but they are adding an extra room so that problem will be solved!
It is a beautiful cabane in a beautiful region. Margot & Jean are lovely people! They have build the cabane themselves. It is really impressive.
I almost don't want to write this, because this place is so special that I'd like to keep it a secret! That would be unfair to our lovely host, though- so I should be honest and tell the world that this treehouse is just amazing. We started our honeymoon here and it set the tone for romance. The house is set in rolling farmland, near a pond with swans. It has hot, running water, a shower, a flush toilet, a microwave, and a small refrigerator. The bed is a comfortable futon. There is a sturdy staircase leading the way up.
We did get very lost on the way there, so be sure to double check the directions before you set out! When we finally arrived at Madame Lebec's house, it was rather late but she warmly greeted us all the same, and had us follow her in the car to the treehouse. Our French is very poor, and Madame Lebec spoke some English- but despite the language barrier she let us know that we were welcome to enjoy the privacy, the stars, the food- she was so enthusiastic and happy to have guests!
We fell asleep star-gazing on a giant pillow. I have never seen the milky way look so bright. The next day we enjoyed a delicious breakfast, complete with hot coffee made in the french press, three different breads, fresh local apricots and tomatoes, sausage, cheese, butter, and apricot jam. Followed by a shower outdoors under a bucket with water heated by the sun-- it was a perfect start! She also left us a bottle of wine that we enjoyed later.
The second night we watched a gorgeous thunderstorm approach across the countryside; we were thinking we might have to go to the car if it hit us. Well, hit us it did- and the tree-house didn't bat an eyelash. It's very sturdily constructed, it didn't sway a bit in the high power winds. Once the storm came to us, we went inside and fell asleep to the sound of rain on the roof, snug and warm and safe and dry.
My only regret is that we didn't stay longer. Thank you thank you! We so hope to come back someday.
After a holiday in Spain we (me and my wife + babygirl 1 year) ended our vacation in the cabane du lamas for a 2-night stay. Little did we know what a magical place this would be.
After getting help from Margot herself to find the cabane, we walked up the wooden stairs to the, at first impression, very large platform. You'll find all possible comfort here: everything to eat (even a grill), sleep (double bed), and relax (you'll find 2 hammocks) and be romantic. And that is the main reason for my 5 star review.
Think magnificent view over the fields, think a French breakfast in the treetops, think showering in the nature (old perforated bucket with water trick), watching stars at night (no light pollution), and absolute 360degree privacy.
If you are looking for a unique and comfortable place to stay over, in the middle of nature, hosted by very amicable people, look no further. It was the absolute highlight from our trip. We would like to thank Margot for her help, giving us a free French breakfast and jean for the free foie gras and bottle of delicious aperitif.
Such a unique stay. The treehouse is wonderful and such nice hosts.
