About This Listing
This a light and cozy studio apartment on the 1st level of our family home. You'll enjoy a comfortable queen size bed. Flat screen TV. A Small kitchenette with pots/plates/silverware to cook up small meals on the cook top or in the new microwave. We are hands off hosts. We will email directions the week of your stay on how to get your set of keys and show you how to access the apartment through the garage with your private entrance. After that, you probably will not see us unless you need something. Our family lives on the top 2 levels, so expect to hear us above and we are available should anything come up. There is a great corner store and free street parking. We are a few blocks from Ocean Beach and Golden Gate Park. A bus stop is around the corner which will take you downtown.
On Balboa there are restaurants, Bank of America and a large Walgreens on Geary Street just a few blocks up. We are only a few blocks from Golden Gate Park and all the amazing things it has to offer. Also, only 7 blocks from the legendary Ocean Beach-where you can see some great surfing/kite boarders and enjoy dinner or beers at The Cliff House or Beach Chalet. Sutro Baths and great hikes at Lands End are also blocks away with amazing views of the bridge.
The Zoo is 3 short miles away (my family and I bike there!)
15 minutes to the Presidio, Crissy Field and the Golden gate Bridge.
Great public transportation right on Balboa or Geary can take you straight across the city to downtown. The Muni bus right on 40th & Balboa will take you downtown for $2
If you drive from the airport we are about 20 minutes using the Great Highway. If you drive downtown its about 20 minutes straight across town on Geary. if your using public transportation it can take 30-40 minutes.
Outer Richmond is the most residential part of the city, so it isn't typically as loud as down down (no bars/restaurants around here are open late). However, our home is built in the early 1900's and as our most SF homes, they are connected to other homes. Which means paper thin walls and ceilings. You will hear people on the top floors/possibly next door and even cars...which is very typical of any SF apartment. We keep a fan in the apartment and we use one ourselves to muffle any noise and we are always fine.
* How far is the nearest BART station? There is a Muni bus right on 40th and Balboa that takes you straight across down for $2
Max of 2 people. No additional guest or visitors allowed. This is a studio apartment on the garden level of our private home. You will receive your own set of keys to enter thru the garage and into your studio. No smoking/drugs allowed and no pets. Sorry. Clean sheets and towels provided.
Noelles place in San Fran was perfect
Easy to get around as there was a bus stop at the corner and also uber was doing $7 rides anywhere in San Fran. We gave short notice and the place was ready to go as soon as we got there. It was a short walk to the beach and a great restaurant on the water. Easy communication and easy access to the apartment. The bed was very comfortable and room was very clean.
Thanks for letting us stay would defiantly recommend!
Noelle's place was perfect for me. Close to transportation to downtown. Noelle responded to my messages promptly. Check in and check out were easy.
I enjoyed my stay at Noelles place in Outer Richmond which offers walking distans from beautiful Ocean beach and Golden Gate Park. This area of San Francisco is about 30-40 minutes from down town with the bus and that makes the area calmer, more quiet and cleaner then other parts of the city.
As I arrived i got clear instructions on how to find the place and I entered through the garage finding the key on the kitchen table with a note and a bottle of wine. Noelle also let me keep my bike in the garage. I never met Noelle but the welcoming note and instructions gave me all the information i needed. The place was clean and cozy and as described. However for my needs the internet connection was a bit to slow, about 4 Mb up streams and 1 Mb down streams, making it difficult to carry through video calls etc.
I had a great time in SF thanks to Noelle's private studio and a wonderful welcome. The place was as described. Noelle is a wonderful host and I never had a problem contacting her. She keeps the studio clean and pays attention to details. The apartment features a TV (w/o DVD) and the basic kitchen equipment for up to two people. Supermarkets, a bus stop, the ocean and the Golden Gate Park are in walking distance.
I experienced an uncomplicated and pleasurable stay at Noelle's place. However, as stated in the description, expect some noise from the floors above - which might be a problem if you're noise-sensitive.
