A perfect spot for Ironman competitors/spectators under 5 minutes walk to Kings Beach State Rec Area! Cozy uniquely remodeled cabin with a spacious kitchen and custom rustic woodwork throughout. Only 2 blocks from the beach, close to restaurants and shops in town, and easy access to public transportation.
Our house has features found in far more expensive and larger spaces: beautiful custom woodwork and cabinets throughout, heated floors, and enormous kitchen for the gourmet cook. The upstairs bedroom has a queen bed, downstairs bedroom has a twin bed, and the living room's love seat also folds out to a twin bed. The house is perfect for 2-3 but can sleep up to 4 and maybe a few more with creative use of air mattresses. There is a sunny back patio area to hang out and BBQ, or enjoy a drink on the front porch and watch the neighborhood.
Feel free to use the propane BBQ, borrow a cruiser bike for a trip to the beach, and enjoy the patio area between house and shed.
My boyfriend and I will either be staying in the studio back behind the shed, or off camping somewhere fun. If we are around guests are welcome to ask for suggestions about activities, restaurants, etc or any other questions about the area.
Kings Beach is a lively neighborhood centrally located between Incline Village, Truckee, and Tahoe City. It is close to some of the nicest beaches around Lake Tahoe, and also the National Forest with miles of trails to hike and mountain bike. North Tahoe Regional Park is only 2 miles away with a disc golf course, tennis courts, and even more trail access. The casinos at Crystal Bay have live music many nights throughout the week, offering some well-known artists and usually a variety of free shows as well.
Easy access to the TART bus stops, which runs on an hourly schedule. The free Night Rider shuttle runs along the north shore from the Crystal Bay casinos to Tahoe City in the summer, and Reno/Tahoe airport shuttle also stops in town only 1.5 blocks away. It's easy to walk or hop on a bike to get around to the beaches, food, and other fun in Kings Beach. There is room for 2 large or 3 small cars in front of the house, and street parking beside from May 31-November 1.
This place is cute and cozy. Hubby and our two dogs stayed overnight. The residence is very close to King's beach and centrally located in Tahoe. The neighborhood was quiet at night, no loud neighbors or continuous barking dogs.
Overall the place was comfortable, quaint, and well maintained. Robyn, was very quick to respond to emails and left us homemade scones which we forgot to eat! Thank you!
We loved staying at Robyn's cabin. It was comfortable and cozy with a great location minutes from the lake. Robyn was helpful and friendly. I hope to return soon!
The house was clean and comfortable. Centrally located in Kings Beach a short walk from restaurants and the waterfront. Our hosts left us tasty scones and a nice note on local restaurants. The owner was responsive when we had an issue with the WiFi.
We made a last minute trip to Tahoe, and found Robyn's cottage to be absolutely cozy and adorable. It's not huge but it fits 2 adults, 1 toddler, and 2 dogs just fine. She left us delicious homemade scones and let our dogs use her dog's memory foam dog bed, which was so kind. Robyn left us activity, lunch and dinner recommendations too.
It's walking distance to King's Beach, which is nice because you won't have to pay the $10 parking. We did some kayaking and swimming, and also drove to nearby trails.
Overall an awesome place to stay!
