Un grand merci, super week-end.
Maison très bien situé et Lidia est adorable.
Lydia's home is beautiful, situated in the hills overlooking beautiful mountains. It was elegantly furnished, and all of our needs were met (including a wifi hotspot she kept in the apt. - a very nice convenience!). I would certainly recommend Lydia's home to travelers in this area.
The apartment, which is a duplex, is nestled in the hills near Rapallo--about a 10 minute walk from the beach. The grounds are lovely--there are olive trees, wisteria and a garden with tomatoes and squash growing in it. The view is lovely--from the dining room you can see a beautiful vista of the hills. We were there in September, which is olive tree pruning season, so the air was very smokey from the burning of the leaves and branches. It is lovely to sit outside in the evening and take dinner under the veranda. As you are outside of the city, be prepared to see and hear creatures of the evening...
This place is clearly the family's well used summer home. It feels as if the family "just left" as their personal effects are everywhere. This is where we would recommend thinking about whether this is the place for you. Some people may not care about this kind of thing and if so, you will not mind staying here at all. As the apartment was priced similarly to staying in a moderate hotel in the area, we would prefer to not have so many personal effects around.
One bedroom has a lovely view with a veranda for sipping coffee in the morning. The second room is small with no view, and the sheets were disposable polyester.
Our host was very kind when we arrived and left us with a print out of some wonderful restaurants in the area, where we had two of the best meals in Italy. The Internet did not work for most of the time we were there. When we had a problem the host was very quick to respond.
A lovely out of the way spot with easy access to the beach. It was very cozy and Andrea made us feel very welcome.
We stayed in this lovely apartment for 3 days in August 2014 and had a great time. The aparment has wonderful views from the living room and the bedroom, large private garden and is well located in close proximity to the neighbouring towns (by car). It has a very homey feeling and is nicely decorated. We did not have a chance to meet Lidia and Andrea as we arrived very late at night. They made sure we get the key and it all worked out well. Thanks for everything!
