In a very hip and relaxed, yet very trendy neighbourhood.
Less than 5 minutes from Bastille Metro Station which is on the same line as many of the mandatory sights and monuments that one must see when in Paris, 10 minutes from the Marais, one of the city's great markets next door (fruit, vegetables, cheese, butchers, fish, flowers), and many wonderful restaurants on the doorstep.
We recently renovated our 1-bedroom apartment (the space could comfortably sleep 4 in separate rooms) in a grand neo-classical block.
A terrace with roses and an orange tree allow magnificent views over Bastille and the roofs of Paris, you can bask in the sun and have a drink while looking down at the Parisian life
It's a very bright place (East/west so sunny througout the day), with herringbone parquet floors.
The main space is a 28m² livingroom, a seperate kitchen fully equipped, a large quiet bedroom on a peaceful ecourtyard , a beautiful bathroom with a bathtub and private toilettes.
Internet High speed Wifi, a large LCD screen with international channels, DVD Player with a great choice of films provided.

The green terrace over Paris is beautiful. We arrived at the 'gare de lyon' which is max. 5 walking Minutes away from the apartment.
The place was clean, beautiful and quiet. We had enough space for our luggage and in the kitchen we had a nice nespresso machine with coffee for free ;o)
The supermarket is next door and Vanessa had some VERY VERY good restaurants suggestions also in walking distance. You have to ask her! We really recommend 'au passage' and 'la gazette' :o)
Thank you very much for the wonderful time we could spend in your apartment. We surely recommend it and will be back ;o)
Great flat, very central. And quiet, when the windows are closed.
Very friendly and welcoming informations and "service" by arriving and during the stay.
I would rent it again. Recommended !
We had a wonderful stay at Vanessa's beautiful apartment. The flat was in a great location and she couldn't have been more helpful. Her recommendations were spot on and her communication with us was fantastic from the moment we booked. Could not recommend highly enough- we'll definitely be back!
We had a wonderful time in Paris and staying in Vanessa's flat was the icing on the cake! The photographs don't lie, this is a lovely flat and it really has that authentic Parisian feel. It is decorated beautifully and very clean. Vanessa and her father were extremely helpful and informative and I although we had no need to contact them, I felt reassured that they were there if we needed them. They were also kind enough to leave us a bottle of wine on our arrival which was a nice touch. Vanessa's suggestions of where to get food in the neighbourhood were excellent and helped us to experience the 'real' and less touristy side of Paris. The flat puts you in a great location for the underground and we also walked into the city from there a few times. Nothing bad to report, only good things! I cannot recommend Vanessa's place enough!
I had a wonderful time in Paris in Vanessa's apartment. Close to everything you would want to do and see,I felt like I was coming home rather then just staying in someone's house. I will definitely be staying there again when I am next in Paris!
Very nice apartment. Very nice host. Very nice neighbourhood. Fantastic town. Highy recommended.
Vanessa was a perfect airbnb host: friendly, communicative and helpful.
Communication was great from my first enquiry through till the end of our trip to Paris.
The apartment is lovely, very well presented and in a great location.
We would definitely stay there again.
Nice atmosphere and very close to Bastille and Gare de Lyon.
Really enjoyed the stay...
Vanessa and her father, Daniel, were wonderful, accommodating hosts who made everything easy. The apartment is beautiful--full of sunlight and moonlight. This was my first Airbnb booking, and I highly recommend it as a perfect choice for Airbnb beginners--the experience couldn't have been more lovely.
I'm familiar with Paris, but following Vanessa's recommendations let me discover new delights, like lunch at Septime (about 15 minutes away by foot). But if you are longing to eat in and prepare some of the beautiful market products that you can buy at the nearby Marche d'Aligre or Marche Richard Lenoir, the apartment has a very well-equipped kitchen--we were even able to host a dinner party.
Bastille is my favorite neighborhood in Paris--it doesn't feel at all touristy yet it's still quite close to any tourist sites you might want to visit--you can get to Notre Dame in 25 minutes by taking a leisurely walk along the Canal St. Martin and the Seine, or zip along with a rental bike. Besides being 5 minutes to two major Metro stops that have lines to take you anywhere, the apartment is also a block away from the Promenade Plantee, an old railroad viaduct that has been restored to a park--fans of New York's High Line will enjoy it.
Merci Vanessa et Daniel! I hope we can return one day...
Vanessa's apartment is in the perfect location - very easy walking to many bars, restaurants and shops and it's very central. Her place is clean and spacious. The wifi and heat are also in good working order. The shower is a bit odd, as you have to hold the shower head over the bathtub and the water occasionally goes cold for a few seconds, but I think this may be common in Parisian apartments. Vanessa also provided a number of great suggestions of her favorite places which I highly recommend following. She was very easy to get a hold of if we needed anything even though she was current on Holiday in Asia, so I can't imagine how responsive she would be on the same timezone. I would definitely stay there again and hope to make it back soon. Thanks Vanessa!
