My name is Alexandre, I am both a Publisher and musician and I propose this splendid luminous and unique loft under the roofs, very typical and looking like a boat with wooden structures all around. You'll feel like in a bubble with a lot of light.
My apartment was selected to shoot a TV report on airbnb for french television!
Surface is 53 m2, it is compounded with a big living-room, a beautiful kitchen, a bathroom with red tiles and grey clay on the ground, and a very comfortable bedroom with a queen size bed.
Decoration with very stylish pieces of furnitures, lots of green plants and vintage stuff.
This place will work I hope as a real "coup de coeur' for you if you feel like spending some time in Paris in a peaceful atmosphere that you won't find anywhere else.
Beautiful fireplace (functionnal in winter) in the middle of the living-room
All amenities :
- Washing and drying machine
- Clean towels and linen
- Kitchen fully equiped (fridge, freezer, nespresso machine, oven, orange-juice maker, fruit mixer, induction stoves...)
- Large choice of CDs, DVDs, vinyls.
- Computer/free wi-fi access/videoprojector for movies
I'll be happy to welcome you with a list of good tips/restaurants/places to hang out/where to shop.
Walking distance to Montorgueil, Palais Royal, Opera, Grands Boulevards and its theaters, Yoga Bikram Center.
Don't be afraid : it is at the 5th floor without elevator but it's very frequent in the typical parisian buildings, not tiring and really worth it :)
Hope I can speak to you soon, I'll be happy to answer any question you bear in mind.
I loved my stay at Alexandre's, It's a very beautiful apartment, every room including the kitchen and bathroom were pleasant to be in. Very nice neighborhood with plenty of restaurants, cafes, and bars. Close to trains and short walking distance to other fun districts. Hope to stay again sometime in the near future.
What a place, what a location! Alex's place was amazing, for the first stop of our honeymoon we couldn't have asked for a more romantic place to stay.
We stayed in Alexandre's apartment for one week during New Year's 2012 and had an absolutely amazing time! Although he wasn't there to greet us, he arranged for his lovely housekeeper Linda to meet us there and show us around the apartment. This was great because I was able to practice my French by asking basic, household questions! :)
One look at the apartments for sale in the windows of all the real estate agents around Paris will tell you that Alexandre's apartment is by comparison, la creme de la creme. I can't imagine why anyone would want to stay in a hotel when they could live like a real Parisian and have a spacious living room with fantastic furniture, a cozy fireplace, record player, and kitchen!
The rate we paid to stay here was far less than we would have paid staying in a boring hotel room. After a long day of sightseeing, who wants to be stuck in a tiny hotel room cluttered with luggage? Alexandre has great taste in decor-- there was so much to look at and appreciate, without it being overly personal. The queen-sized bed was so comfortable and I got my first good night's sleep our first night here after being jet-lagged and uncomfortable in a too-modern, pricey, high-end hotel in London.
The location of the apartment is fantastic. We didn't have maps, but this was our 3rd time in Paris so we probably didn't need them anyway. We quickly found we were close (by walking or biking) to the trendy Rue Montorgueil and the adjacent shopping on Etienne Marcel, the Opera and the Galleries Lafayette. The metro station was only a couple blocks from Alexandre's apartment, and a couple quick stops from the Concorde metro stop which has all the designer shops on Rue St. Honore.
The apartment is also easily accessible to Montmartre by bike! There is a Velib bike rental station right outside Alexandre's apartment which always has available bikes, and perhaps more importantly, open spots to return them! :) We were delighted that we were able to ride bikes to one of our favorite Montmartre restaurants from his apartment, which was only about a 15-minute trip.
We highly recommend staying in Alexandre's apartment and have already suggested his place to numerous friends and family. Everyone has been blown away by the pictures and his apartment is exactly as shown in the photos. Don't think twice about staying here! Book Alexandre's apartment first, then your airfare-- for a very memorable trip to Paris! We now consider Alexandre our good friend that we've never met (or have yet to meet!).
My husband and I spent four nights at Alexandre's lovely apartment. It was the perfect place for the two of us for a 'Christmas in Paris' experience. The apartment is just as the photos show, very tastefully furnished with a lovely warm and inviting atmosphere. Having the open fire is a real plus, and was one of the main reasons we chose it.
Everything you could want is supplied, and the location is excellent. We walked everywhere, easily finding great food shops close by (bakery, patisserie, cheese, seafood, fruit & veg, wine etc). Public transport is very close, although we rarely used it, preferring to walk (the best way to see the city). Alexandre was not able to meet us when we arrived, however he had arranged to leave the key and instructions at a nearby cafe for us. He called us shortly after that to check we had settled in, and answer any questions we might have. It was very nice that he left a few maps with recommended streets and areas to visit.
My husband and I stayed at Alexandre's place for the first part of our honeymoon and it was AMAZING! To start, Alexandre was very responsive in the weeks prior to the trip and we had all of the details worked out way in advance so there was nothing to worry about when we arrived in Paris. Upon arriving at the apartment, Alexandre had left a two page letter detailing places to go in the area, where to eat, shop, etc. He even had two maps printed out with things highlighted for us to check out! Oh, and I can't forget the bottle of wine he left for us to enjoy. He has a very nice apartment that is so close to central Paris that we walked everywhere! I would definitely recommend his apartment for your stay in Paris!
The host canceled my reservation 16 days before arrival.
This was both Alexandre's and our first use of AirBnB and for my wife and I this was one of the best memories of our first trip to France. The appartment is well furnished and was very clean and tidy. I liked not having a TV or a phone to tempt us to be distracted from why we came to Paris: To enjoy each other! He provied us with fresh ground coffee and a coffee press and a bottle of wine which we took home with us and drank to remind us of our delightful stay. What's more marvelous is that his appartment is only about 5 blocks from the Louvre and not much further to the Opera. We couldn't have asked for a better value or locaation. We will definately look to Alexandre first the next time we go to Paris!
My husband and I spent a week at Alex's apartment for our honeymoon. It was a truly amazing and large space! Alex was very quick to respond to all requests and very hospitable. He made sure we knew he was available if we needed anything. He provided great detail in the apartment with recommendations for great restaurants. We would definitely stay with Alex again if we return to Paris. The apartment is very large for Paris and very well decorated.
Our stay in Paris was perfect thanks to Alexandre and his beautiful loft apartment. The apartment is in a great location - very central. We referred to the loft as home during our stay because that's exactly how it felt. The loft is very stylish yet comfortable and cozy. Alexandre was travelling himself on our arrival but he left a folder full of information about the loft and the neighbourhood. Alexandre stayed in contact during our stay to ensure we were enjoying ourselves and everything was ok. He was the perfect host! I highly recommend staying in Alexandre's loft apartment - it was perfect! :-)
We had a great stay in Paris at Alexandre's loft. It is centrally located so it's convenient to many many things.
The loft itself was beautiful and comfortable. It's worth climbing the five flights of stairs!
Alexandre was there to meet us when we arrived and he was as nice as could be. He showed us how everything worked and had some great recommendations for restaurants and the closest grocery shops. He was always very responsive to texts from the time I made the first enquiry and throughout our stay. He also arranged for a taxi to pick us up when it was time to leave.
We would happily stay at Alexandre's loft again!
