Having stayed at a number of places through airbnb - we felt this lacked a personal touch. There was a lot to like, the apartment was unique and the location excellent. As other people have mentioned - the wine bar across the road is fantastic. We enjoyed using the terrace for breakfasts especially. But the place felt a little like comfort was foregone for quirkiness. As a simple example the beds are very small and the couches not comfortable for relaxing after a long day exploring. Also the lack of WiFi was inconvenient. So the location is fantastic for Piemonte region, the flat is fun but lacks a home away from home feel.
Had a wonderful time! Was everything we wanted and needed and more. Easy to find with the directions, great views in the city and a comfortable space to relax with friends. I would recommend to anyone. Only thing to watch is to make sure you hit enough switches in the bathroom to turn the fan on.
Anna was very good about supplying information. The suite is a renovation of very old quarters built right into the stone-part of the old town of Monforte itself. Wonderful quirky artwork and beautiful balcony with views. All one needs for a stay in this beautiful, small village. Suitable for 2-4 people. Bedrooms are a bit small (double beds in each of 2 rooms).
We really had a great time in Anna's house and we would like to thank her again for the time she dedicated us. The old renovated house located in a typical village in Piemonte helps you travel through centuries. The house is provided with all modern equipments. Additionally, the 2-level terrace enables you to admire the view over the valley and yo let you have breakfast, lunch and dinner.
We enjoyed spending time in Monforte d'Alba, in all villages we visited in the surroundings and we keep on advising tourists to come and discover this wonderful region. Torino is also a wonderful city to visit.
We had a lovely weekend at Anna's unique apartment. The location was perfect-we stumbled upon a wine festival literally outside the front door! The seating area out back had lovely views of the Langhe valley.
The location is great: up the steep, winding and coppled streets of old Monforte and the place is both quircky and comfortable. Only problem was that we could not turn the heat off in the bedrooms, but I'm sure Anna will fix it!
