Guests have private access, Via, the front door, with on street parking right out front. We call this type of house a Double, though some people will be familiar with the Modern Term of Duplex. So it has it's own private entrance independent from next door where me and My Housekeeper live.

There is always someone on hand 24/7 to greet you and attend to your needs. Me or Ernie-(my housekeeper) are always on hand. We like to make our new friends welcome but always, respect, their privacy, and comfort.
The Bywater is alive with restaurants, shops, artists and musicians, and is close to the French Quarter- about a mile and a half, but far enough away, so you can relax and unwind, especially if you have been enjoying the delights of Bourbon Street and the French Quarter.
We are served by 2 bus lines 2 block away on either side. One Runs Late-That would be the Saint Claude Line, (About Midnight) the other Runs a little earlier about till 5:00 PM.

No smoking inside
No Illegal Drugs
No loud Parties
No "extra" Guests
I can honestly say that we, as seasoned travellers, have never felt so well cared for on holiday as in this beautiful house. The house was immaculate and every single detail was taken care of - from the daily cleaning to snacks/drinks/toiletries topped up whilst we were out to the fact that our personal washing was done every day to a multitude of suggestions as to where to go, where not to go and 'insider tips'.
Ernie the housekeeper was absolutely lovely and could not possibly have done more for us.
The description on air bnb was completely accurate and the neighbourhood was extremely friendly (as was the whole of New Orleans) and we made ample use of the numerous local bars, restaurants and shops.
I cannot recommend this property high enough and fully intend to return as soon as we can.
Our stay at 918 Louisa Drive was fantastic. We were greeted on arrival by Ernie, the gracious housekeeper, who immediately filled us in on all kinds of helpful information about NO and left hand- written notes around with things like the bus schedule and local restaurants. From there on, he was always available if we needed anything, but not at all intrusive. Besides plenty of character, this place has two fantastic beds, a deep bathtub with jets that we used just about every night, a great shower, complimentary red and white wine and bar fridges stocked with drinks and snacks. The neighborhood is quaint and friendly and felt very safe. Our favorite breakfast spot was just two and a half blocks away. Our only complaint was that it was just a bit farther from the French quarter than we would have liked. It's a bit too far to walk and bus service was a bit off because of Mardi Gras and construction, so we ended up cabbing it a bit more than we would have liked. But all in all, this is a great place to stay.
Robert's place was wonderful. He and Ernie go out of their way to make it feel like a home away from home. It has all the amenities and NOLA charm you could ask for. Location was fabulous!
We had a great stay! The house had all of the amenities anyone would need. They thought of everything. We had fresh towels and sheets as well as restocked snacks everyday. We would definitively stay again! Thanks!
I have stayed at quite a few AirBnB places and I have to say the stay with Robert was unbelievable! He puts so much into the experience that it makes the stay far superior than a hotel. Robert quickly responded to my emails before our trip and Ernie, the housekeeper, was available during our stay. The house has snacks, a ton of bottled water, white wine, red wine - and it was replenished daily. The sheets were changed everyday and Ernie even does your laundry! They were also super helpful in terms of what to do and restaurants to go to. There are a ton of brochures on the coffee table including an extensive restaurant guide. Ernie is also very knowledgable about public transportation and walking routes to the French Quarter. And the whirlpool tub!! It was great to be able to soak in the tub after walking about all day. There is also shampoo, toothbrushes, razors - anything you could need is in the house. It was a perfect vacation!
This was an incredible airbnb experience. Robert's quick responses from beginning to end made the details of our trip seamless (from check-in procedures to questions about sights and history). His housekeeper Ernie, as you will hear time and time again, is the most hospitable and delightful gentleman. The neighborhood was the best of everything with plenty to see/do within 1-3 blocks (Try the cornbread french toast with ham and duck egg at Maurepas around the corner!) , it's own character, a sense of safety, quiet, and yet still close enough to the center of the action. The home itself is exactly as pictured with old charm and still plenty of comfort. We hope to return soon!
