Spacious and 100% private room with own private bathroom in urban setting. You´ll be only 5 blocks from vibrant shops, restaurants, cafe’s and wine bars at happy-go hippie-Haight/Ashbury and cool Divisadero.
Golden Gate park is a short stroll away with the DeYoung Museum, the Botanical Garden and Japaneese Tea Garden and it´s green lusch eucalyptus trees and palms.
Enjoy the neighborhood and hop on the direct bus, downtown is only 20 min away.
The room is facing towards the garden so it´s very quiet. Wireless in house. No real kitchen access but there is an electric kettle, refrigerator, table ware and a microwave so you can make yourself a cup of tea and do some basic cooking. The BBQ on the terasse is a gas grill so super easy to use.
The bed is a queen size bed with a very good mattress that folds up to a couch. The room provides 100% privacy as you enter through a door next to the garage and have the whole floor to your self. The hallway to your room may look a little rough because its basically the garage, but as soon you enter your private room it fells intirely homly.
There is 2 hour street parking on our side of the street from 7am-6 pm, and 24 hour free street parking on the opposite side.

My girlfriend and I loved our stay in Lene's room. It has a great location, close to Golden Gate Park, Haight-Ashbury Street and there are many bus stops nearby. The room has it's own private entrance so we were not concerned with waking others when getting back late. Lene was very helpful and always made herself available without intruding on our space. The room was very clean and was a cozy stay for two of us.
Thank you Lene!
This is the best private room I've ever stayed. For context I was alone in a business trip but I don't think you'll find it small for two people.
Excellent space inside, good chair for working, big bathroom (no bathtubs but I prefer this way), the microwave/minibar are good for "hunger-emergencies". Super private I felt a little like that was my home :)
My Fiance and I stayed here for a week, right after Christmas, and we loved it. There is a full size Lucky's supermarket and a CHASE bank right across the street which was very convenient for us. The location is right in the center of the city so we could get anywhere we wanted to very quickly, especially with all the MUNI options nearby. We mostly used the number 5 bus, which runs right in front of the house, and got us to MARKET street in about 7 minutes. The shower was was very spacious and never ran out of hot water. Lene and Brian were very quick on responses to any questions we had. When we come back to the city we plan on staying here again.
This was a good room for us to stay in. It was in a good location for us, there was a market across the street, and the bus took us directly downtown. Street parking is somewhat difficult depending on the time of day and day of the week, but you may have to look in a neighboring block.
We hope to stay here again during our next visit to San Francisco.
Thank you for having us, Lene.
Had a last minute trip to SF and found Lene's place online. The airbnb thing was a little out of my comfort zone, but I decided to give it a try. Otto and Lene were very kind, and the room was just as I hoped for... Private, simple, very clean.
I hope to visit the city again, and would definitely book with the Jensens : )
This was an amazing private room. After traveling around the state without an actual room to stay in, this was the best stay I can ever find in San Francisco. The host was extremely nice and always attentive when you had any questions or concerns. The room was comfortable and fit for two. The bed was a little stiff but I had no problem sleeping in this quiet neighborhood. This place was conveniently located in front of a Lucky Supermarket, next door to a dry cleaner, Starbucks on the corner for those who enjoy that, a bus stop within the block that can take you straight to Market Street and Downtown, and less than 10 minutes walking distance from Haight Ashbury.
I would not bother searching any other stay because this is the number ONE option for any traveller!!
