Large comfy bedroom in an 1890's spacious home. The home, though shared space, has plenty of nooks and crannies to tuck away into. Arion Room is located on the second floor.

Located just three blocks from our bustling town square. Our smalltown has many of the great things a city has but still holds dear all the charm.

About This Space
Welcome to a home that actually lives. This 1890s beauty isn't just a place to sleep—it's kinetic. It’s a workspace, a rehearsal studio, and a good place to chill.

I’m a bit of a "busy body" in the best way possible. As a musician and creative deeply involved in our local community, there is almost always something in motion here.

Arion Room: Located on the second floor, this is your private space. When you need to decompress or work in silence, you can tuck yourself away and lock the door for total privacy.

The Common Spaces: These are the "living" parts of the house. You might hear music drifting through the walls. You are welcome in the kitchen, backyard patio and firepit area, two living rooms and bathrooms. There are two private bedrooms to reserve so there will be the possibility of other travelers staying.

This is a "soulful" home, not a "silent" one. It’s perfect for travelers, artists, and explorers who want to stay in a house with character. If you want a home that reflects the vibrant, bustling spirit of Humboldt, come sit by my fire.

The "Busy Body" Rule:
Because I’m actively gigging, there might be times when I’m home but "deep in", practicing. Just know I’m not being distant.

So, in those cases, I’m available via the Airbnb app if you need anything at all. I want your stay in Humboldt to be exactly what you need it to be.

I am deeply involved in community development and advocate for rural communities. I am the Community Engagement Director of a charitable foundation. Our town was highlighted in The New York Times as 52 Places for a Changed World in 2022 and the Smithsonian Magazine in '24. Quite remarkable for a rural Kansas town. I’m a storytelling musician that discovered the passion for performing in my 40s, actively gigging. My kids are both grown. So momma bird is flying:) and finding other creatives.
