Nicely furnished 3rd floor bedroom and shared bathroom in the beautiful Art Museum area of Philadelphia. Share our roof deck, kitchen, and neighborhood! Easily in walking distance of Art Museum, Mutter Museum, Eastern State Penitentiary, Franklin Institute, and dozens of shops, cafes, restaurants, and markets.
The room has a Queen-size bed, a full-size sofa bed and an available air mattress, allowing up to 5 people to sleep comfortably. It also contains a chest of drawers, a standing wardrobe, a microwave, a small refrigerator, a television and Blu-ray player for movies (we have no cable TV). There is also a permanently installed air conditioner and portable space heaters. There is a cute shared bathroom outside the room on the same floor, as well as access to a large, shared deck.
We have a brand-new, high efficiency washer and dryer which are open for you to use.
We are located in the beautiful section of Art Museum and Fairmount. Museums, eateries, coffee shops, groceries, and drug stores are all within a 5-minute walk. The area is safe and well-lit at night. We highly suggest visiting the historic Eastern State Penitentiary, now a museum, only 3 blocks away. It looks like a European castle that was dropped right in the middle of modern Philadelphia.
This city is very walkable and easily navigated. We are on and near many SEPTA and Big Bus Tour routes. The cabs are abundant in our area and a bike shop is located within several blocks if you are interested in renting one.
For an extra $10 a night, you can reserve the attached, covered parking spot in the back of our house. There is free parking within the area which can be easily found during the day, but after 5pm it gets difficult and you are not always guaranteed a close or un-timed spot.
There are two cats in the house. They are a little skittish but friendly and they are not allowed into your room, so don't worry if you're not much of a cat person.

My sister and me had a really great stay at DinoHaus Harley Fox. It was clean and quiet, a large room and bed, we could switch on the heater whenever we wanted to switch it on.The bathroom was also very clean and comportable. We stayed two times at DinoHaus Harlay Fox and we could leave our baggage for one week at the house for a very low extra charge. Our hosts were very friendly and helpful. At our last day they arranged stamps for us - our last chance to get some! Thank you very much!! The house is near to downtown so that everything is with walking distance. We would book it again!
Clean and quiet, large sunny room up two flights of stairs, comfortable bed, private bathroom on request, easy walking distance to the Barnes and Philadelphia Museum of Art. Naomi, our host, was very pleasant and helpful. Nice to have the option to get the parking space out back for an extra $10. We would happily stay here again.
Our stay in their home was lovely! The room was clean, the furniture was comfortable, and everyone living in the house was charming and super friendly. The location of the apartment is fantastic, it was well within walking range of everything we wanted to do in the city. The space heater in the room kept it toasty but we didn't feel that the rest of the house was as chilly as the posting mentioned it may be. Overall, our experience was ultra-positive and we'd be happy to stay with them again!
I had a great experience at DinoHaus. Naomi was incredibly friendly and easy to talk to, and while I arrived much later than expected due to an Amtrak derailment ahead of our train, she kindly offered tea and was able to check me in after midnight. The room was fabulous - huge, with a very comfortable queen bed. While it was a cold night, I had a nice blanket and a perfectly adequate space heater. My hosts were also kind enough to let me leave my luggage during the day, which I totally appreciated. The neighborhood was very cool and very near to the Art Museum and the river. I was only there for a few nights, but would definitely stay there again!
Perfect place really close from the city center, we had a warm welcome. She gave us good advice to visite Philidelphia quickly and it was really nice ! Thank you we hope to return one day :)
Perfect accommodation! Not far from the city center, you can walk to it, the room is very big, very clean, the beds are comfortable.
Very well located, practical and clean. The room was a little bit cold but the comforter was perfect for it. Harley was very nice to us.
Great size room, very comfortable and quiet with pretty much the whole of the top floor to yourself. House mates at DinoHaus were all friendly and happy to give good advice about what to see and do in Philly, as well as how to get around the city - I ended up walking almost everywhere though as the house is in a great location. I'd recommend staying here.
Staying with Harley, Naomi, and Charlie was a great experience, and helped make my life much easier. The room and location are both tremendous, the cats are adorable and quiet, and they we're open to suggestions, as I wash their first airbnb guest. I wish them the best, and know that they will be gracious, hospitable hosts for many airbnb'ers to come.
