Welcome to the Bushwick Biodome! Home to a wide variety of lifeforms and located in the heart of bustling Bushwick, our spacious apartment is full of character and we would love to have you in it! Private room available.
A spacious and comfortable apartment shared between me, my roommate, and you! ....with plenty of common space to hang out in, lounge in, or get some work on in. We have a big collection of books, games, and plenty of movies to watch projected on a big wall. We built the apartment from scratch and are constantly making improvements! Currently working on....something. There is tons of natural sunlight from 45feet of windows facing the Manhattan skyline. There is also a huge and well stocked kitchen which is great for cooking!
The guest bedroom comes with a twin bed that sleeps one person, a dresser, a bookshelf, a clothes rack, a chair, a rug, a lamp, and an end table.
We keep the place very clean, I am constantly tidying up but we expect you should clean up thoroughly after yourself and if staying a while, contribute to the household chores.
We consider you our roommate, not a hotel guest, with the privileges and responsibilities that implies.
Guests have access to everything except our two bedrooms, though we usually leave the doors open. It's one big open loft (besides bedrooms, and of course, the bathroom)
Me and my roommate are around a lot / a little /not at all depending on our work schedules which change constantly. I do freelance cinematography in the film business and my roommate manages a studio for a media company. We expect a small amount of interaction but other than that it's entirely up to you!
Very close to every kind of great food you could imagine. Good bars all over the place, happening night life, live music, art galleries, quick trip to everything else in the city. Right nearby is little hipster mini-mall full of boutique shops including an excellent cafe. Laundry in the building. Full-size grocery store 4 blocks away.
Subway 3 blocks away, buses out front. Usually available street parking.
*PLEASE NOTE* there is substantial truck traffic on the roads below as there is a transfer station across the street. It can be noisy even at odd hours of the night, though you barely hear it in your room.
Mostly just clean up after yourself. Always leave things as clean or cleaner than you found it. Don't be too loud, except sometimes, when it's called for. Be comfortable, be friendly, have a good time!
Nathan and Marcos were great hosts - super friendly, fun and laid-back. They immediately made me feel right at home.
The location is perfect, with a lot of great bars and restaurants, cafés and galleries just around every corner and communications to the rest of the city.
The pictures in the ad just barely gives the apartment justice - seriously, it's a very cool place. The room was small but charming and came with everything I needed. Great common spaces and a great kitchen (in which, if you're lucky, Nate and Marcos will show off their skills).
I had such a great month in NYC and was very grateful to call this place my home during that time. I can't recommend it enough.
Nate's apartment was precisely what I was looking for when I looked on Air BnB for somewhere cool and affordable to stay in New York for the week. In fact, it exceeded my expectations. I can't imagine anything nearly as good for the price.
Great views, cool, laid-back atmosphere, welcoming hosts. The transport connections/amenities are fantastic. The nearest subway station is a few minutes walk away and has easy access to Williamsburg/Manhattan.
All in all - highly recommended, would visit again.
The loft was the coolest place I've ever lived in. It's as gorgeous as the pictures show it to be. The loft is on the fourth floor, and you get a great view of the Manhattan skyline. Public transportation is nearby.
Nate and Marcos were great hosts. They're very nice and easygoing.
Being in this place for two months made my transition to NYC a lot easier.
I've had such a good time getting to spend a month in Nate and Marcos' amazing Brooklyn apartment - the space was great, only few blocks from the subway; there's access to the roof, which gives you an awesome view of the Manhattan skyline.
The guys were also super easygoing and friendly, would definitely recommend this space to everyone - I mean, there's even a trapeze in the kitchen area. What more could you ask for?
I stayed at Nate and Marco's for a month and a half and everything was great!
They are really nice and easy going. The place is as awesome as it seems on the pictures and I was surprised that the room is actually bigger than it looks.
It's really close to the L train and like everybody says, the view of Manhattan is amazing.
You can watch movies on the projector and eat homemade cookies, what else could you ask for?
This was my first experience using air bnb and I was so so pleasantly surprised! What an amazing apartment and the boys are so lovely and accommodating and easy going. I have recommended the place to so many friends already, and when I'm back next year hope to stay again. It's so easy to get anywhere from the apartment, and you have to make sure you check out the view from the roof.
Thanks again for everything guys, see you soon!
I am a person who appreciates the odd stranger traveling through foreign (or sometimes domestic) lands, hence our fascination with this continuing AirBNB experiment. But so far, so good. Both me and my roommate are in our 20's and are from Massachusetts, we went to college together and both work in the film industry here in NYC. I do freelance camera work / cinematography, he manages a production studio for a growing online media empire. He is also a former ninja. We both work a lot, but also love to hang out with friends, drink some beers, make some food, go on adventures, etc. I tend to have stretches of free time in between jobs and I do a lot of woodworking projects on the side building everything in the apartment. We also have a lizard named Larry who lives in a kingdom high above us mere humans. He has a lady. They don't get along, lots of marital strife.
