A spacious and comfortable apartment shared between me, my roommate, and you! ....with plenty of common space to hang out in, lounge in, or get some work on in. We have a big collection of books, games, and plenty of movies to watch projected on a big wall. We built the apartment from scratch and are constantly making improvements! Currently working on....something. There is tons of natural sunlight from 45feet of windows facing the Manhattan skyline. There is also a huge and well stocked kitchen which is great for cooking!
The guest bedroom comes with a twin bed that sleeps one person, a dresser, a bookshelf, a clothes rack, a chair, a rug, a lamp, and an end table.
We are on the 4th and top floor of a walk up (freight elevator is also available).
We keep the place very clean, I am constantly tidying up but we expect you should clean up thoroughly after yourself and if staying a while, contribute to the household chores.
We consider you our roommate, not a hotel guest, with the privileges and responsibilities that implies.
Guests have access to everything except our two bedrooms, though we usually leave the doors open. It's one big open loft (besides bedrooms, and of course, the bathroom)
Me and my roommate are around a lot / a little /not at all depending on our work schedules which change constantly. I do freelance cinematography in the film business and my roommate manages a studio for a media company. We expect a small amount of interaction but other than that it's entirely up to you!
Very close to every kind of great food you could imagine. Good bars all over the place, happening night life, live music, art galleries, quick trip to everything else in the city. The ground floor of our building is full of boutique shops including an excellent cafe. Laundry in the building. Full-size grocery store 4 blocks away.
Subway 3 blocks away, buses out front. Usually available street parking.
*PLEASE NOTE* I am away on vacation from December 26th to February 6th, during this time I will not be immediately able to return emails though hopefully at least once a week I will get to them. This does not mean you cannot book the room! My roommate is home the entire time and can accommodate your needs, just be aware that on the initial reservation request it may take a few days to find out. Until I get back in february, then all will be normal.
I must also note that there is substantial truck traffic on the roads below as there is a transfer station across the street. It can be noisy even at odd hours of the night, though you barely hear it in your room.
Mostly just clean up after yourself. Always leave things as clean or cleaner than you found it. Don't be too loud, except sometimes, when it's called for. Be comfortable, be friendly, have a good time!
I've had such a good time getting to spend a month in Nate and Marcos' amazing Brooklyn apartment - the space was great, only few blocks from the subway; there's access to the roof, which gives you an awesome view of the Manhattan skyline.
The guys were also super easygoing and friendly, would definitely recommend this space to everyone - I mean, there's even a trapeze in the kitchen area. What more could you ask for?
I stayed at Nate and Marco's for a month and a half and everything was great!
They are really nice and easy going. The place is as awesome as it seems on the pictures and I was surprised that the room is actually bigger than it looks.
It's really close to the L train and like everybody says, the view of Manhattan is amazing.
You can watch movies on the projector and eat homemade cookies, what else could you ask for?
This was my first experience using air bnb and I was so so pleasantly surprised! What an amazing apartment and the boys are so lovely and accommodating and easy going. I have recommended the place to so many friends already, and when I'm back next year hope to stay again. It's so easy to get anywhere from the apartment, and you have to make sure you check out the view from the roof.
Thanks again for everything guys, see you soon!
Everything was perfect à Nathan's Place.
Nate & Marcus were very welcoming, The neighbours were very kind and helped me drop off my heavy bag.
I had a great Night hanging out with Marcus and Nate a Rooftop Party in Bushwick.
I would totally recomand the place : It was clean, quiet and welcoming, Exactly as described.
The area is very safe and very close to the L train, which is one of the most usefull line to get to Williamsburg and Manhattan.
I'm a little disapointed that I couldn't say goodbye because I totally forgot I hatd to leave on Oct 16th ! But Anyway. I had definitely a great time there.
Thank you so much for Everything. I hope to see you soon ;)
Very lovely and unique experience!!Love the little "jungle" that Nathan has designed for his loft!!and also Nathan is a very nice host!
Nate's place in Brooklyn is the ultimate spot off the Morgan L train. The apartment has amazing custom finishes, cozy room, and Nate and his roommate Marcos are awesome guys to be around. I stayed with them for a whole month and they made me feel welcome after moving here to NYC. I recommend this place over everything else if your looking for a great Bushwick experience.
I am a person who appreciates the odd stranger traveling through foreign (or sometimes domestic) lands, hence our fascination with this continuing AirBNB experiment. But so far, so good. Both me and my roommate are in our 20's and are from Massachusetts, we went to college together and both work in the film industry here in NYC. I do freelance camera work / cinematography, he manages a production studio for a growing online media empire. He is also a former ninja. We both work a lot, but also love to hang out with friends, drink some beers, make some food, go on adventures, etc. I tend to have stretches of free time in between jobs and I do a lot of woodworking projects on the side building everything in the apartment. We also have a lizard named Larry who lives in a kingdom high above us mere humans. He has a lady. They don't get along, lots of marital strife.
