Welcome to your private, cozy studio apartment! This newly renovated basement-level retreat features a private entrance & porch, full kitchenette, full bath, free on-site parking, and stunning views of downtown. Minutes from the stadiums, museums, universities, and music venues, it’s perfect for couples or solo travelers. We have 2 friendly cats, so you may be greeted by a kitty when coming or going. Plan for hilly terrain in the winter. Enjoy privacy, charm & comfort!

The space
The space has been renovated, along with the rest of the house, over the last 3-5 years with love. Most appliances & features are brand new.

The top two floors are occupied by a school-age kiddo (2nd grade) and her dad. You may hear some household noises but we do prioritize quiet, especially during morning and evening hours.

There is one door in the room that leads to the rest of the house. This door remains locked for the duration of your visit so you can enjoy a completely private stay.

We have sprawling backyard (it used to be a clay tennis court!) surrounded by woods with lots of deer friends 🦌🌲. We’re happy to share this space with you. Please feel free to use this back yard space & enjoy the view!

Guest access
You'll have private access to your own back porch, room with a queen bed, kitchen table, working area, kitchenette (complete with a microwave, mini fridge, sink, electric kettle, toaster and coffee pot) & a full bathroom. These spaces are all yours.

We like to keep the airbnb stocked with your comfort essentials: shampoo, conditioner, body wash, q-tips, toothpaste, granola bars, flashlights, umbrellas, an extra blanket, towels, wash cloths, plates, bowls, cups, utensils, dish towels, paper towels, wash cloths, feminine products, hair drier, iron and ironing board. If you need anything else, just ask!

We'd love to chat and offer suggestions for nearby spots, etc. but also offer space if you're wanting more independence.

This airbnb is conveniently located to everything Pittsburgh has to offer:

-7-10 minutes by car from Downtown Pittsburgh, the Strip, Acrisure Stadium, PNC Park, PPG Paints Arena, Point Park University

-15-20 minutes by car from CMU & the University of Pittsburgh.

This airbnb is most convienent for folks traveling by car because of the narrow & steep terrain in our historically-rich steelworker neighborhood.

Up for an incredible view? Request 5 min. walking directions to St. John's Lutheran Cemetery for a stunning, panoramic view of Pittsburgh's city skyline.

We share our large driveway with a neighbor, so just one car can be accommodated. If you have more than one car, we'll provide easy instructions for nearby free street parking.

We cannot accommodate last minute reservation adjustments requests that require refunds. We'll accept requests for reservation refunds that mirror our cancellation policy. Thank you for understanding!

Neighborhood highlights

This is historically and presently a working class neighborhood. From 1895 to the early 1970s, the hills around downtown Pittsburgh were where steel workers lived. They would climb the hundreds of staircases built into the hills to and from work each day. Spring Hill remains a neighborhood of the working class with an unrivaled, panoramic view of the steel city. Our neighborhood is home to some of the friendliest neighbors you'll ever meet. It is economically, generationally and racially diverse and we love it here.
