When you first arrive, please park on the street and walk up the driveway to enter the backyard. We live on a steep hill so if mobility is an issue, we may not be the place for you.
My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at this cozy studio. The studio is on a beautiful tree lined street and we were within walking distance to several restaurants/coffee shops. There was plenty of space for 2 people and it was very clean. Robert provided filtered water and coffee. There was a nice area to sit outside and the yard was very serene. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it!
Robert's studio was the icing on the cake to an unforgettable trip to Austin. I promised my friend from Canada that, if she ever came to Texas, I would bring her to Austin.
Our stay at Robert's cozy studio was a big part of our wonderful experience!
The studio is on the back of Robert's home. He has tenants who rent the room above the studio. The studio is stylish and eclectic (even nicer than the pictures posted on Air BnB). The bathroom is quite small, but cute. Even though you are in Robert's backyard, it feels quite private. Not to mention, their chickens are the prettiest chickens that I have ever seen!
Robert is very accommodating. He greeted us and offered his bike lock when we turned up with our own bikes to ride around Austin. Robert is a great host and his studio is truly charming.
Robert's studio was lovely, and just as advertised. It was a soothing, well decorated space and just a short (5-8 minute) drive to South Congress and a lot of other neat Austin sites. I only saw Robert once but he was a thoughtful host and left everything we needed for us. I would definitely recommend renting a car if you are staying here but it is a convenient,
peaceful spot and definitely somewhere I'd stay again if I'm ever back in Austin.
Robert was very nice and came to introduce himself the second night I was there (I got in kind of late the first night). The studio was great and I was very comfortable staying there. It's set back (and up) from the street, so it was very quiet for the most part. There are renters in another unit upstairs, so there was a little noise from them, but it wasn't bothersome and ended at a reasonable hour. The hill to get up to the house is very steep, so while it wasn't a problem for me, I can see someone with mobility issues having a difficult time with it. Overall, I had a very nice stay and would stay there again.
We loved staying at Robert's studio! It was just the right amount of privacy, super clean, and close to downtown (cheap uber ride away). We arrived after dark and the neighborhood is dimly lit (but super safe! no concern there) so we originally walked up the wrong driveway. So beautiful to see that part of the area in the daylight though. The filtered water and coffee, although we didn't brew any, was a nice touch. Robert was extremely prompt in responding to my questions and even had some great recommendations for local food. We would love to stay here again if we're ever back in Austin. Thanks Robert!
