The Space

Welcome to Amsterdam and welcome to my home.
I am an artist and designer, and would be happy to offer you my cosy and esthetic apartment, perfectly located in a central but quiet neighborhood in Amsterdam South, just around the corner from the idyllic Amstel River & few minutes away from the De Pijp, the lively bohemian district of Amsterdam.
A trip to Amsterdam is not complete without a visit to this lively district where people from all walks of life come together, creating a multi national artistic flavor.

Within walking distance or short bicycle ride from my apartment you will find as well other popular, must visit sites such as The Albert Cuyp Market, Heineken Museum, the Van Gogh Museum, Amstel River, Amstel park, The Royal Concert hall, Paradiso, Leidseplein and the Rijksmuseum.
The well known convention centre RAI is only three minutes away with the tram which leaves from around the corner.

The apartment is located on the second floor with 2 bedrooms and spacious living room that fits perfectly 2-3 couples or a family with 3-4 children.
If you wish to come with more than 6 people, there are options to add additional mattress, just let me know.
It has 2 sleeping rooms:
The main bedroom has large comfortable double bed.
The second bedroom has 2 full size single beds, that can be placed together to get a spacious double bed.
The living room has a designer-sofa which opens into a very comfortable large double bed.

The living room has a lot of light all day long; on one side a balcony with wooden table and chairs where you can enjoy the green view to the lush back garden, while the other side face towards the wide and quiet street in a cosy neighborhood.

There is a top of the line large flat screen and Blue-Ray player with surround-speakers, and rich library of good Music & films on DVD.
Very fast wireless internet is available as well.

The kitchen is compact (typical Amsterdam-size), & fully equipped with all your needs, including dishwasher and washing machine, coffee-machine, juicer, toaster, microwave and gas cook-top, and all regular amenities you might need to create delicious homey meals.

The bathroom is small, with toilet on one side and a shower, with an extra large spoiling shower-head to the left, divided with a curtain.

You don't need to share anything with anyone, my home will be yours completely. The apartment is fully equipped with all you could possibly need.

The rent fees include : Use of bed linen, towels, toilet paper, tea/coffee, all needed cleaning material for the wash and dishwashing machine and all you need for joyful cooking.

A box of chocolate & bottle of cold wine will be welcoming you together with full manual with all the instructions of the apartment together with some up to date tips and maps of Amsterdam. I will also of course meet you when you arrive to give a personal introduction and answer any questions you might have.

There are two supermarket close by, two organic shops not very far, as well as the local Turkish greengrocery where you get great fresh fruits and vegetables.
And of course you'll find plenty of local cafes and restaurants, as well as shops for your regular needs either in the neighborhood or neighboring district De Pijp, an area which is booming with fantastic cafés, culinair restaurants, coffee-shops and bars.
The largest outdoor market in Amsterdam, Albert Cuip-market in the colorful Pijp-area, is within few minutes walking-distance from the house. A visit to Amsterdam wouldn’t be the same without a trip to this market, flanked by over 100 colorful shops.

My apartment is very easy to access from Amsterdam's two big main train station with multiply options both by Metro and Trams.

If you rent a bike to get around like the Amsterdammers do, in Less then 10 minutes you will be anywhere in the city centre; or in a few minutes you can get out of the city riding along the idyllic Amstel River which is just around the corner of the apartment. It is warmly recommended to walk along the river either to the center or out of town to the beautiful Amstel Park.

If you like to rent a car and see some more of Holland, the exit out of the city is just down the road, no need to enter the hassle of the city-traffic.

I will be more then happy to assist you in anything you might need & will be at your full disposal during your stay. Should you need advice, help of any kind just feel free to ask me.
If you need any info about concert tickets for upcoming event, great culinary restaurants of any kind, alternative places that tourist will normally never find or special festivals & any other places to visit, depending on your interest, I am happy to share my knowledge.

I wish you a very pleasant stay in beautiful Amsterdam!

Warm Regards
KARINA

  • Karina's BnB is comfortable and convenient to trams, buses, and metro. We enjoyed our stay there and looked forward to coming home after a active busy day seeing wonderful sights in Amsterdam, relaxing and watching her collection of videos including "The Girl with the Pearl Earring." Thanks for all.

    Thanks Becky for nice review.
Thank you very much as well for your private comment. I will go through the explanation and look for the place where you said it was confusing and try to make things overall more clear.
Regarding dryer, there is one on top of the heater in the bathroom, but it might be that it is too high up to be visible; I will take car to take it down to a more accessible place so people can easily find it. Thank you for the tip!!
All the best, and again; Thank You!

  • Karina is a great host, she gave us useful tips about Amsterdam, left some food for us in the fridge and provided a baby bed. Me, my husband and our baby were staying in one of the bedrooms, while two of our friends were staying in the other. We had a great time and can definitely recommend Karina's place!

  • Highly recommended - the apartment is so convenient and cozy! Karina is an amazing host and person - she was so helpful in anything we had questions about, had great recommendations for us and of course this reflects in her homey and pleasant apartment, that was just perfect.
We stayed there 5 girls and it immediately felt like home, because of all the small details that Karina puts thought into - a full fridge, variety of music and movies, fully equipped kitchen and clean sets of towels and linen.
All that combining very comfortable transportation from the apartment to anywhere you could possibly want to go in Amsterdam made our stay very special and fun.
    Thank you Karina!
