Super comfortable, clean, spacious and sunny 2 bedroom, 2 bath in duplex. Conveniently located in Burlington's South End. About a mile from Lake and Bike Path, City Market, and UVM. Parking on premises.
Plenty or room for four, plus there is an air mattress available.
Enjoy the shady backyard and garden and help yourself to a plum, tomato or some greens, depending on the time of year. Washer and dryer available.
Just far enough from the center of town to avoid any noisy late night revelers.
The bus stops on the corner, but you probably won't need it. Just park your car in the garage and walk to town, the Lake or the colleges.
Mary's house was great! Conveniently located and a neat and tidy interior. Mary was very pleasant and made the whole experience (as first time users of Air BNB) very easy. Would highly recommend her and this location to friends!
We had a lovely time in this warm and sunny flat. For our family of 4, including two young adults, we were happy to have room to park two cars and have two full bathrooms. The house was big enough and quiet so that we got along well. At one point we had both showers going with no complaints, which is impressive. The queen bed was very comfortable. For us, the house's location was quite important. We thoroughly enjoyed the pleasant walk to downtown, while our son could easily walk home from seeing his friends at UVM. The neighborhood is safe and interesting to walk through, with beautiful older houses. It is very convenient to 89, and was a great home-base for my ski trips. I visited three different resorts, all less than an hour away. Our host shared all sorts of information with us about the house and her town, and was responsive to our questions. I particularly appreciated her flexibility when we needed an extra day at the end of the trip. Thank you, Mary, for sharing your home with us!
Mary's house is a wonderful place to be if you planning to spend some days in Burlington, it have a great location very close to Burlington most cool spots, we spent Christmas with our kids in this cozy place and was beautiful...Mary's bed is soooooo comfy...we rest a lot, she is very eco friendly person and we love that plus!
I hope to go back again, thanks Mary for your nice details as the eggs and the organic milk!!!!
Mary's apartment was beautifully-equipped, immaculate, and, above all, welcoming. I loved the two comfortable rocking chairs and the perfect reading chair in the living. I didn't meet Mary, but she was totally responsive to questions and inquiries all weekend.
Mary's place was ideal for our stay... a stones throw away from Burlington center and perfectly equipped and comfortable. We especially enjoyed the toy helicopter! Thanks Mary!
Great location, clean and cozy house, and fully functional kitchen -- we easily cooked a Thanksgiving turkey for some friends. Mary was easy to get ahold of and responsive. It's obvious that she's a seasoned airbnb host.
We stayed at Mary's apartment while on a college visit to UVM. It was the perfect size for us- and since we were traveling with two teenage girls, having two bathrooms was the best! The place was clean and well represented by the photos. Communicating with Mary was a breeze and the off street parking was a plus. We are hoping to come up again in the spring to spend the weekend exploring Burlington. And for the record: I have asthma and allergies and was not triggered at all by the apartment.
What a lovely little house. Very clean, nice layout. Close enough to walk downtown. Unlike many vacation rentals I've stayed in, Mary's fridge was stocked with some basics, like butter, milk, etc, and there's tea in the cupboards and coffee for the French press. Easy checkout, too—some hosts make their guests strip beds or even wash linens on departure, but Mary's house rules are not overly strict.
My only word of advice is that there is street noise, as another guest has mentioned, so be prepared with some white noise or ear plugs at night, if you sleep lightly. It is not terrible—this is Burlington we are talking about—but you can hear cars from both bedrooms.
Don't let my one minor quibble dissuade you from staying here, though, because it really is pleasant. This is a top-quality place, and I'd happily stay here again.
Mary's beautiful place was immaculate, quiet, and comfortable. Guests get the whole floor to themselves. Love the selection of books and the way it's decorated. A few blocks from the waterfront and running trails. I'll be thinking of a reason to visit Burlington again.
Mary was so kind to us. She left us fresh milk and eggs and an assortment of breakfast food to eat. When we left our toothbrushes there she even offerred to send them back to us!
The place was the perfect size and layout for our family of 3 (1 bdrm with a queen, 1 bdrm with 2 twins) and was in a great location just out of the center of Burlington. My only complaint is that there is some mold in the house. As I am allergic to mold I spent the weekend very sneezy. My wife and daughter are not allergic and had no complaints. So, highly highly recommended for anyone without a mold allergy. If you do have it, probably not the best place for you, particularly in the colder months when windows need to be shut and no air is circulating.
Sorry that you sneezed all weekend. I was not aware that there was mold here. I have looked around and don't see anything, but I am not even sure what I am looking for. I have called a company that tests for mold and am waiting to hear back from the proper person. I will certain address the issue.
