Beautiful area

This home is in a scenic location.
Tucked into the trees on a quiet Stevenson hillside, with Cascade Mountain views right from your patio — Skamania Lodge is a 5-minute drive, downtown pubs are 7 minutes on foot, and back here, the trees and mountain views are entirely yours. This isn't just a place to sleep — it's where your immersive Gorge adventure actually begins. Gas fireplace, two firepits, record player, hundreds of DVDs, high-end bedding, and more await. Come enjoy golfing, river sports, or hiking the trails!

The space
Note: We require guests to have prior Airbnb reviews. New to Airbnb? Please message us before requesting to book!

THE EVENING
Choose a record. Sink into the pub chair by the gas fireplace while the Cascade Mountains frame the A-frame wall of windows. Outside, two firepits are waiting — a large one for gathering in the open, and a small intimate one right off the bedroom, protected from potential rain for when your night gets quiet. The 65" swivel TV has hundreds of DVDs, surround sound, and a Wii. Throw blankets are stacked. Dimmable lights are low. Cornhole is set up in the yard. You're feeling that R&R coming on.

THE MORNING
Cascade light pours through the wall of windows. Pull up to the coffee bar at the view window — the Keurig coffee station is ready to brew your morning coffee. The bathrobe is cozy. The bed with its three pillow density options and high-end sheets…you’ll have slept better than you have in years.

THE KITCHEN
Fully stocked: air fryer/microwave/convection oven combo, large refrigerator freezer, electric kettle, and a kitchenette with all the essentials. Outside, the BBQ has a separate side-burner cooking element — Gorge breakfasts in the mountain air are unforgettable.

WE THOUGHT OF EVERYTHING
Forgot your toothbrush? Individually wrapped pre-pasted ones are here. Ironing board, makeup towels and towelettes, 8 bathroom towels, comfy bathrobes, a fully stocked office desk, phone charging ports built into bedside lamp tables with 3-level dimmable lighting. We've been that guest who forgot something. You won't be "stranded".

BRINGING THE DOG?
Pet bowls, waste bags, and a small yard are yours. (weight limit is 25lb for 1 dog)

AND...
Bagged folding chairs are at the ready for the Fairgrounds or waterfront — just grab and go. Cigar smokers: the outside firepit area is yours.

Guest access
The entire lower level suite is yours — private entrance, private patio with two firepits, full kitchenette, outdoor BBQ with side-burner, and exclusive use of the yard. One dedicated parking space is at the bottom left of the driveway. The upper floor will be entirely closed and unoccupied during your stay; there will no noise above you, ever. (Hosts are on the grounds in an RV at the back of the property)

Other things to note
Natural Grounds: Our property is a natural hillside setting - gravel, dirt, and patches of grass. Gravel driveway and path provide access to the entrance patio, with gravel and pavers around the firepit area. Sturdy shoes recommended.

The Gorge Wind: This area is world-famous for its wind that can pick up at a moment's notice; please be mindful of this when using the firepit or leaving lightweight items on the patio.

Burn Bans: To protect our forested hillside, outdoor fires are subject to seasonal Skamania County burn bans (typically July–September); we will notify you if these are in effect during your stay.

Gorge Sounds: We are a riverside town, which means you will likely hear the low rumble of the local trains/horns or the occasional ship's foghorn—sounds that are part of the authentic Stevenson experience.

Cell Service & WiFi: While we provide high-speed WiFi for your stay, cell service can be spotty on the hillside depending on your carrier (Verizon works best).

Local Wildlife: You are tucked into the trees here! It is common to see deer, hawks, and the occasional bold squirrel from the patio. The birds are plentiful too!
You’ll also occasionally see a few white rabbits hopping around who call the fairgrounds their home.

Area Traffic: Rock Creek Drive is visible from the property; during peak summer months (June–August), you may notice some daytime traffic as it is a local’s bypass to Hwy 14.
