Here's your chance to glamp (glamor camp) within a stone's throw (given a good arm) of Seattle Center and the Space Needle. A brand spanking new 25-foot Airstream is ready and waiting. Complete with a queen-size bed, full kitchen, and wonderful yard, it's not exactly roughing it. Add 2 wide-screen TVs and Bluetooth, and maybe we should rename it Urbamping. The shiny, riveted exterior is mirrored inside, with beautiful lighting and plush leather furniture.
The kitchen is stocked with coffee, tea, and treats, and features a latte-making coffee-maker. Soft, plush leather seating greets you in the front area. All fixtures are the highest grade in this Airstream "Serenity" 25.
The bedroom has a queen-sized, firm, pillow-top bed, and is very private. Wake up in the morning to the hummingbird couple that frequents the fuscia bush outside the bedroom.
You look out onto a wonderful, secluded patio, surrounded by flowers and gardens. Treat yourself to the hammock, or just laze about in the steamer chairs.
The home itself is a Seattle landmark, just a short walk to the Seattle Center, home to the Space Needle, the Chihuly Glass Museum, the Seattle Opera, Repertory Theater, and all the many festivals there.
Slightly further afield, but an easy stroll, are the walking bridge to the Sound, Olympic Sculpture Park, and points south. Up the hill a couple blocks is the famed Kerry Park Overlook, providing the iconic and mesmerizing view of glittering downtown Seattle by night, and Mount Rainier by day. Amble a few blocks further west and the Olympic Mountains greet you at Parsons Garden park, where you can picnic in solitude within a lush garden.
For your belly, there is the world-famous Toulouse Petite restaurant (Louisiana cajun, including its Bloody Marys) only 3 blocks away. Next door to that restaurant is another also boasting inlaid wood tables and fanciful ironwork: Pesos. Across the street is Tin Lizzy for a very private, very glamorous cocktail and treat. A dozen other fun restaurants grace the "Uptown" area. Try the Mecca for a breakfast diner replete with sassy waitresses, or Phucket for Thai cuisine. 10 Mercer is also a great favorite. The intimate Sitting Room is only 2 blocks from the house.
The Bus #1 runs downtown (a block away), as do the RapidRide and several other buses. Or, just board the monorail at the Space Needle and your next (and last) stop is downtown.
Parking must be approved in advance because it's tight. You'll need to sign a parking liability release and an agreement to be bothered by other guests if your car blocks theirs.
Absolutely no smoking without a plastic bag over your head.
We have 2 wonderful rescue dogs, one an American Bulldog (Bell) and the other a mix of everything on the planet (Stan). They're a little on the large side. Because Stan had a rough start with humans, he's very shy, so please do not engage him. Sorry, there's no room for more pets.
I highly recommend Nadine's Airstream. It was cozy and super cute! The only thing that could've been better was if I was actually able to travel in it. The location was convenient to a lot of things to do.
Nadine was a wonderful host. We had a late arrival and she was nice enough to let my brother, who lives in town, to check in for us. The Airstream is so fun to stay in and very well turned out. My husband and I had such a wonderful experience. Great location, wonderful place to stay.
everything about the experience was awesome...highly recommend. great location, great hosts.
Had a wonderful time in the Airstream! Very clean and so cozy. It is a very safe neighborhood and there was a lot to do within walking distance.
Greeted by Mark and shown around the Airstream and backyard. Very pleasant, quiet area and close to downtown Seattle. Grocery store and many restaurants are walkable nearby. The Airstream had all of the comforts of home and very clean. Operating instructions for stove, furnace and TV, DVD, etc clearly written. At 6.4" my husband had amble head room albeit the shower was a tad bit short but not a problem. Both Nadine and Mark very helpful and accommodating.
Nadine was very helpful, quick and easy to work with from start to finish. The airstream was impeccable, comfortable and just plain fun! The location couldn't be better, with easy access to the Seattle Center and downtown as well as a great selection of local restaurants and grocery stores. Nadine made some great recommendations and I would highly recommend the whole experience! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Nadine feels like an old friend. The trailer was well furnished and comfortable
