This suite enjoys a lovely private roof terrace and open bath room suite.
Luxurious, spacious and eclectic is the only description of our Terrace Suite. This charming suite comes with it's own private terrace and open style bathroom. Secluded and discreet and due to the warmth of Singapore's climate we can keep it open to the elements and yet covered from rain. This is a remarkable experience.
Encapsulated in a 1925 traditionally built Singaporean shophouse, this is 1 of 5 newly refurbished suites on the 2nd floor of two beautiful traditional buildings.
Located in the Joo Chiat area on Singapore's East Coast and which has undergone a rapid gentrification.
Terrace Suite is at the rear of this renovated building away from road noise, yet only a short flight of stairs from our gastrobar - The Trenchard Arms, with the added advantage of having been sound proofed from below to minimize disturbance and yet provide easy access when guests would like to try a meal in the wonderful either the The Trenchard Arms or it's sister restaurant and neighbour -Rabbit Carrot Gun.
Consider our Terrace Suite as your private Singapore secret bolt hole!!
The Joo Chiat / Katong area, famed for it's Peranakan shophouse architecture and a local food stop. It is a great location from which to explore all that Singapore has to offer or simply as an alternative to staying in soulless business hotels.
We are 10 minutes from Changi International Airport and 10 minutes from Singapore's CBD (central business district).
Taxis are plentiful and cheap by international standards. Uber is also available. Buses are frequent should you choose the communal taxi.
Respect this space as you would your own home please.
Upon checking in one of the staff lead us to our room which is conveniently accessible on the side of the cafe. The room was really nice. Very old world charm meets modern design. The room was huge and the bathroom even larger. Bed and pillows were easy enough to fall asleep on. Didn't feel at all like an extra room but more of a boutique hotel. The shower amenities were more than enough for the 3 days I was there. The location is amazing, you're near 328 Katong and a slew of good restaurants that are all walking distance.
I stayed here with my boyfriend for a few days while we explored Singapore. It's a great fooding home base, above a pub with great atmosphere and friendly staff, and near every kind of food imaginable, from local delights like laksa to more continental chocolate cakes and beef bourginion. The tub and shower were absolutely fantastic, big enough to luxuriate in after a long day of exploring but be warned - you must be comfy naked as it is quite open! We never had any issue and just spent the days and nights away in a very clean, comfortable and beautiful room.
Another great room above rabbit carrot gun. Love the layout and al fresco bathroom and patio love listening to the rain while I took my shower. Love Katong. Will stay again

Enjoyed saving, refurbishing and re-developing one of Singapore's heritage shophouses so much, decided to go one step further. Refurbishing another 2 shophouses nearby which includes 5 more AirBnB suites and an eclectic modern European restaurant - Rabbit Carrot Gun - and gastro bar - The Trenchard Arms. Been based in Singapore for 12 years, my interests are very broad and include but are not limited to; architecture, interior design, wine, rugby, Scouts.

All wonderful and still my proudest achievement are my two children.
