Interaction with Guests
You can expect to meet me in person upon checking in to get all necessary information (unless I'm out of town) otherwise there will be a key box outside the apartment for you to check-in at your convenience
I work during the day monday - thursday, I work from home on Fridays. I sometimes cook a tasty dinner in the backyard which you are welcome to join in. I also love craft beer so we can hang at a few local bars and I can show you some Philly beers!
I do live here too so consider us roommates, kitchen and bathroom are shared (usually get up around 630am)!
I am perched in between Center City and Fairmount Area. This is a rustic tree-lined neighborhood with families and young adults alike. My central location allows you to walk to every part of the city. Within a 5 minute walk from our apartment is:
- Broad st. Subway line (takes you all over the city)
- Gourmet craft beer (good for happy hour)
- breakfast take-out
- Logan Square, great restaurants
- Convention Center, City Hall, Art Museum, Reading Terminal Market
Public Transit is very popular and the nearest subway stop is a 4 minute walk, I also have a spare bike for rent. There are also buses that will take you to every corner of the city. Just ask me!
Other Things to Note
Parking: there is free street parking on my block and the surrounding blocks, you may not find a spot right in front of the house but there's always a spot open within a block or two. My favorite secret is the 1300 block of Mt. Vernon st 2 blocks away.
I do offer airport pickup/dropoff: depending on your arrival time for $20 one way.
If you would like any food/drink for me to purchase ahead of time I can do that as well!
The following amenities are extra:
- home cooked 3 course dinner (depends on availability) ($15)
- washer/dryer ($3)
- Bike rental ($10/day)
- Beer (pay what you wish, any donation works!)
You make your own rules, I enjoy guests being creative and creating their own experience. Please if you see fruit on the Table, its for everyone!Ya know just no Hankey Pankey!
The reservation was canceled the day before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Scotts place was clean and in a great location. Eventhough we didnt get to officially meet he was friendly and responsive with his communication. Would def love to stay here agian next time im in philly!
Don't look any further, this is probably going to be the best airbnb you'll find in Philadelphia. Although we sadly didn't get the chance to actually meet Scott in person, our time at his apartment was simply perfect.
The communication before our arrival was great as Scott was very responsive which is always appreciated. As Scott wasn't home for our arrival he left the key for us to pickup, which was no problem at all.
After our arrival we found a big plate of fresh fruit and two beers in the fridge in our room. How cool is that?! Breakfast in the morning was great as well. Scott really knows how to make people feel like at home. Big thumbs up!!!
The bed was very comfortable and there was enough space in the room for our bags. The whole apartment was very clean.
We can totally recommend staying with Scott. Also try the Philly Cheesesteak at Jim's. It's awesome!!
Scott's place was indeed and\ oasis! The room was just like the description--a great place to stay in the middle of the city. Scott gives great recommendations on things to do and places to see. Warm, clean, cozy and quiet--a great place to rest up in between adventures in Philly!
I felt like i went to friend's house, who welcomed me, introduced to neighborhood and house, gave ride to restaurant and beer before crash :). Overall very friendly, has very good reason why he is in Airbnb. I would stay again for sure, I had good sleep.
Scott was great and very accommodating. We were only in town for one night and our time was limited but Scott was an easy person to communicate and coordinate. The room was clean and just as pictured. The whole apartment had a hostel feel which was comforting to me.
Scott's place was in a great place in the city. I was able to get around mainly by walking to historical sites, shopping locations, and the musical venue that I was in town for. Scott was a very considerate host with recommendations for things to do in the city and he made it very easy to check in and out. I enjoyed my visit to the city immensely and wouldn't hesitate to stay at Scott's again if I were in the area again.

I'm an open-minded, and spontaneous individual who enjoys beatboxing, surfing, building websites, beer connoisseur, and shootin the breeze!! I am a recent college grad, so I may be broke, but Airbnb is all about the experience!
When I travel, I like to get to know the people, culture and the non-touristy spots, Airbnb is an amazing gateway to explore all of those possibilities. Basically anything that doesn't involve a tour bus, I'm happy.
I work at a chemical company as a Data Architect, I'm always involved in the startup scene and extreme sports scene. Hoping to work for Airbnb in a few years!
