Local shops and restaurants are in easy walking distance. Great local pubs with good selections of real ales. Good Bus and Rail links. The River Itchen, Riverside Park and the Itchen Navigation all in walking distance.
Great place to stay to explore the New Forest, Exbury Gardens, the local yachting scene at Hamble and the Solent. Great for when the Cricket is on at the Ageas Bowl and of course Southampton Boat Show. Many folks have stayed with us before or after embarking on a cruise to all those fabulous destinations available from Southampton.
The Itchen Navigation stretches for 15 miles from Southampton to Winchester, it is a walkers heaven at all times of the year, it is possible to walk from our house to Winchester, catch the train home all in one day. If this longer than you fancy then, if you have a car, there are planned circular walks along the length of the walk.

Rachel and Graham were great hosts. They were very welcoming, lighting the fireplace in time for our arrival. The outhouse was very cosy and clean. The photos don't do it justice. I would definitely recommend them.
I stayed in the Chalet at Rachel and Graham's for about a week and I really enjoyed my time there. Rachel and Graham are very friendly and their home is very cosy and nice.
Fab place. Graham and Rachel were very kind and the Chalet has all you really need for a short stay. Graham was even kind enough to give me a lift to the ferry terminal. I would definitely stay again and next time I will bring a chew for Cocoa.
Warm and comfortable place to stay. Sky+ is always a winner!
a quiet and very nice place in the backgarden with open minded people, I would book it again
This whole wood made chalet is all what I was looking for!! It looks and smells so closed to the nature. It's a totally private place on the end of the backyard garden. It's the only place that I've been stayed looks better in reality than the pictures posted. I have had a great experience living there and walking along the park. Graham picked me up from the station when I arrived in town and Rachel sent me to the station when I left. They have great hospitality shown during my time of staying in their house. Highly recommend it!
Rachel et Graham sont des hôtes très gentil qui connaissent en plus pleins de bonnes adresses sur Southampton.
Me and my sister stayed one night at Rachel and Graham's. We had a pleasant stay and would go back there.
A proper little home from home, just what I wanted. Cosy but with plenty of space.
Having the bedroom, living area with Sky tv and kitchenette provided brilliant value for money.
Very friendly hosts and lovely dog. Everything was very clean, warm and comfortable. Will be staying again. Many thanks Rachel & Graham.
